maski lo giaminin mipela, Telikom!

I'm sick of giaman adverts on TV. Here's just one example.

The giligili who does the Telikom commercial thats always showing on EMTV tells how how Telikom is always there with the latest technology to help us. Has any of you actually gone into a Telikom office, complete with uncaring workers, lost service requests, and basically bad service?

No wonder the Telikom general manager and board members were sacked. Finally it was clear that they were covering up Telikom's incompetency with stupid advertisements like this trying to convince us that Telikom knew what it was doing. I heard that the fibre optic cable that was laid across the ocean to Madang is still unconnected some 2 or 3 years after it was laid because of Telikom's incompetence.

Whenever you see a commercial on TV saying how good some product is, DON'T BELIEVE IT!

Trukai rice does NOT build stronp bodies.

Paradise biskets are NOT good for your health.

Coca-cola is a rubbish drink that spoils your death.

The mining companies are NOT looking after PNG's environment.

etc etc etc

DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE IN TV COMMERCIALS! IT IS NOTHING BUT AN ATTEMPT TO BRAINWASH US.

All Telikom board members were sacked last week. Including the general manager Peter Loko. The person you're referring to must have been sacked with the rest of them?

Are you so small to complain about adverts . Yu liklik pikinini or wanem samding .
Welcome to the real world and get used to it ...it's called advertising and it's all promotional stuff.
We live in capitailist world where very one chases profits. America and the western world have been doing it for centuries .
You have the option to turn off the tv or do something else ...

Get used to it small one or if you don't like it - try and change it . Good luck if you survive from not going longlong ,,,,

Exactly. Advertisements are a part of the capitalist world, where companies will dance, beg, threaten or worship as necessary to get those last kina out of your pockets and into your hands.

The fast food and toy businesses will try and jump over parents to reach the kids directl, so that the kids, next time they're in town with their parents, beg for unhealthy foods..... only because they saw TV advertisements that promoted these foods as 'cool' or good for you.

The high tech companies will try to convince you that you simply can't be a happy human being on earth if you don't have the latest electronic gadget.

Get used to this. The process has impoverished millions in the developed countries as people get into greater and greater personal debt because they simply can't resist all the goodies that are advertised on TV. Greater personal debt leads to greater personal stress, disharmony at home and all that. All because they couldn't resist the propaganda and brainwashing that companies try to do through television, radio, and newspaper advertising.

But that's the real world and it's not going to go away. The only way to survive this satanic influence is to simply learn to resist. Practice ignoring advertisements so that you can keep the money in your pocket to use for more important things and the stupid and gullible people amongst us (there are plenty) can fall victim to the advertising messages and end up with no money at all.

Also teach your kids at an early age to resist the evil.

Go to a developed country and find caring families and parents of middle class or higher income and you'll find that they often are very strong about learning how to resist advertising and teach that resistence to their kids.

If you're a parent and you don't teach your kids to resist advertising, the advertisers will end up bossing your kids, not you.

The Digicel adverts are the WORSE!!! Can you imagine how much they could lower the prices of phone calls if Digicel would stop wasting so much money on advertising? What a waste!

BSP advertises how they are "our bank" yet they charge us for every little thing we do with them, even if it doesn't cost them hardly a toea to provide the service. And they say how much they give back to the community which is a bit hard to believe considering that right now they're making obscene profits that go back to the shareholders.

Does anyone know if BSP's owners are former or present pollies that got PNGBC privitised so that they could enrichen themselves by becoming part owners?

I went to Digicel because Telikom advertises their broadband internet, which is slow as can be during many times of day and evening, and then they run out of their Telinet modems. I checked just to see if they've reformed and nope! Still no Telinet modems in stock. You're right, the adverts are totally misleading. Telikom is always there for us IF you can find them... in the office, in stock, anywhere!!!!!!!!
