looked pretty good playing with the komets. took some hits, gave some, had the puck sometimes. didnt seem to be on very long shifts but enjoyed watching komets beat flint...feel sorry for Jim Duhart, I swear he's out there most of the game..other than having a headache it was fun..did see some spirit fans there too.

I have been following Josh as well, and it looks like he is making a good impression with the Komets. I haven't been to a game yet, but I am planning on hitting one of the play-off games. It is nice to see spirit fans following their former over-ager. It really shows the support from this hockey community. Go Josh Go!

Josh Tataryn scored another goal tonight in Fort Wayne's last regualer season game. He got the first goal of the game and the goal that really won it for the Komets. Good job Josh!!!

Fort Wayne opens the playoffs against my hometowners - the Port Huron Beacons. Conveniently enough, you can see Josh play with only and hour-and-a-half drive. The first two games, however, are in Fort Wayne this upcoming weekend. The series then comes back to Port Huron for Game #3 and Game #4 (if necessary). I am unsure of the exact dates, but check the UHL website or the Port Huron Beacons web site for further. Surprisingly, Port huron has owned Fort Wayne so far this year, but the playoffs might be a different story. Anyway, it is a best-of-five series.

I'm with Stu! Besides, Josh won't be in that league (remember, we don't use 'that' word - the "U" word!)next season anyway, so we can go see him then when he's rockin' the ECHL, CHL, or AHL!

Thanks for the question about joining the Saginaw Spirit as a first time season ticket holder. Please contact Lisa Bluew, Director of Season Tickets, at 497-6500.
There's more information, including the following, at our website www.saginawspirit.com
"The Saginaw Spirit is currently taking deposits on new season ticket accounts and all new accounts will be able to select specific seat location beginning on May 15, 2003 after all current season ticket holders have had first opportunity to renew and relocate"
Thanks!

I always thought the Central League (which has teams from the old Western Pro League) was on the level with the United League. Here is what I always thought was the levels of minor pro hockey. Let me know if I'm wrong somewhere.
Tier 1: NHL
Tier 2: AHL (defunct IHL was also at this level)
Tier 3: ECHL and WCHL
Tier 4: UHL, Central HL, ACHL
I'm probably missing some leagues here and there. The tier 2 and 3 leagues are developmental leagues, and the tier 4 leagues are where players play to make money (because working on farms and mills instead is lousy compared to playing hockey)
You would agree that the UHL isn't a developmental league even though Brosal wants it to be one (therefore all the rules regarding the number of veterans a team can carry)....right?
AAAAAAAAY!

The UHL is pro hockey no matter how you see it. Some people probably would think getting to the UHL is a great accomplishment, and it is. Many hockey player night not even get there. Though, Tataryn is doing well and I don't expect him to be staying there in Fort Wayne. I see him possibly staying with the Chicago Wolves next season if he gets another try out like he did at the beginning of this year.
Anywhere Tats goes, I will be cheering.

Yeah!!!!! Josh scored another goal last night against Port Huron. He now has 4 goals and 6 assists. He is averaging a point a game. Wow, that's pretty good for a rookie, hahahaa! Go Tats!

Seems most of the overagers have gained new life since they played for Saginaw. Josh is on a great scoring pace...makes me wonder if some of the guys didn't like playing for Dennis. Wonder how Adam Chapman is doing in Indiana. Has anyone heard?

I think a few of the players on the team didn't care for Dennis as their coach, but there is also those few that thought he was great.
I have heard that Adam Chapman is practicin well but has yet to dress for a game. Hope he dresses soon. It would be cool to have all three over-agers playing pro.
Josh is looking good. He has a great picture on the front page of the Fort Wayne Komets web site. Looks good. Check it out.

It is great to see Peter and Josh doing so well with their new teams. I think how an individual does has more to do with the team around him than the coaching. Both of these guys had the pressure of leading some pretty raw recruits. Now they are the rookies and can play with out those pressures. There is also a tendancy for anyone to play better when the competition is better. Saginaw made a ton of changes this past season and it took it's toll on the team. Hockey is very much a team sport and with all of those changes it was hard for the team to come together as a team. It is also hard to keep up your motivation when you are playing for a last place team in your over age year. I give both of these guys a ton of credit for hanging in there. Now they are both on playoff bound teams and the motivation is much different. I doubt either one of these guys would credit being away from Rosey as the reason they are doing well now.

Well Josh is on his way to the second round of play-offs. They won 3 straight against Port Huron. The next series is in Elmira, New York. A long trip for the Komet boys. Hope Josh does well in this series too. It would be nice to see him go all the way with this team. Go Tats!!!!!

Good for Josh! Unfortunately the same can't be said for Peter. The Greenville Grrrowl were eliminated last night. Peter did pretty good in the few games he got to play and based on the number of pictures taken of him on the fan page, looks like he became a fan favorite down there. Hope that bodes well for him next year.

Well Josh has been doing great. The Fort Wayne Komets swept the Elimra Jackels and now the Komets and Josh along former Centennial Chris Eade, are going to be playing in the UHL championships starting on Friday. This is awesome. I hope Josh gets seen. It would be awesome to see him take off with his pro career during this series. Good Luck Josh!!!

Did you see where the UHL has Josh's last team listed as "Flint/OHL"! Did they move the Spirit to Flint and not tell any of us? I wish Josh all the best but that UHL is not a very good league. At least he got picked up by the best team. Has he been playing at all in the playoffs. He is not listed on the playoff roster and I haven't seen his name in the game stats. Just wondering.

He had a goal & an assist the last time I checked - before the final series. I think it was on 'the league' website. There's a "Playoff Stats" link & each team's individual stats are WAY at the bottom.

Yeah, Josh has been playing in the play-offs. If you look on the UHL web site during the games. You can see if a player is a scratch or not. He has been scratched a few times, but has been playing lately. I give him credit. He is the youngest in the league, and he is playing more then some guys that have been there for a while. Go Josh!!!!
I hope they with the Cup!
