This past week I went through every teams draft to see how they made out. I must admit, Saginaw got 2 gems in the second round in Tommy Pyatt and Patrick Asselin. In my analysis, I believe that Saginaw drafted the best in the 2nd round. Patrick Asselin was my best interview. It wouldn't surprise me if he was your captain in 2-3 years. How did they perform in your mini camp? Did anybody get a chance to meet them?

Good post Ohlfan3, that's more like it! I agree with your analysis of Pyatt and Asselin. Tom Pyatt could have easily been a first round pick and we were lucky to have him still available in the second round. When you add Patrick MacNeil (1st) and Chase Crowder (4th) to the mix, we have four guys that should all start and get plenty of ice time this year. Now add our two first and second round picks from last year (Rizk, Borges & Raszka) you have a core group of talent that should serve us well for the next few years. I didn't get the chance to meet Pyatt or Asselin at the mini camp but I did get the chance to talk with both MacNeil and Crowder and I was very impressed with both of these young men. It is going to be fun to watch these guys develop.
