Not much happening lately... Anxiously awaiting Sept. 6th and the 1st home preseason game! As for Grinder, I saw them last year up in Bay City, and Darren McCarty should definitely stick to hockey! ha!ha! I've been involved with the music industry for over 12 years, and I have seen a lot of bands in my time, and Grinder falls in the category of "Fun party band". The music isn't bad, mostly '70's cover material, but Darrin is NOT a good singer. But they're fun. Plus he comes out & meets the crowd after the shows, so that's cool. He's a nice guy. Highlight of the show (funniest moment, actually) is when they play "I Faught The Law & The Law Won" and he changes the words to "I Faught Lemieux & I Won".

I also saw Grinder in Bay City and agree that Mac should stick to Hockey. I had to leave before they were done since I had to work the next day and I went by myself because all of my friends were too young to get into the Empire Club. It was OK. Not the worst music I've heard live, but not anywhere near the best.

I can't wait for hockey season to start up again. Does it cost money to go to the thing in Midland? And if so, do you need tickets or is it going to be like the thing in Bay City?

The thing in Midland is going to be a "donations are appreciated" thing. I think I read that on the Spirit website. For those who have never been to the community center, be prepared for hard metal(cold!!) bleachers, so maybe bring a cushion to sit on. It will be a fun night though!!!!
