Right now NHL teams are sending guys that won't make the NHL to AHL training camps.
Kostadine has to beat out the guys sent to AHL camp if he wants to stay there.
With the ECHL on strike, he would come back here if he doesn't make the AHL. Similar to Tataryn's situation last year, I suppose.
As for Bissonnette, I thought Pittsburgh had returned him, but I was mistaken. I am now fearing that they might keep him. They could still return him part-way into the season, ala Steve Eminger......
The bottom line is that the Penguins are not very deep, and their farm system is terrible. That means that an 18 year old kid out of junior has a real chance of making the team. Yikes.
