I heard this morning that we lost a Spirit staffer yesterday. Nick Andros has passed away. I do not know the details. For those of you who didn't know Nick, he was the guy that announced the starting lineups and his band played before both home openers. Nick also played a solo gig or two in the Blue line club after games and was an account executive last year.
I didn't know nick too well, but I knew his sister pretty well, we went to high school together. Nick was a good person and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I knew of Nick through the music scene in Saginaw. I have worked in the music industry for about 12 years now. Nick was a very well liked and well respected person. He will be missed by many. The band Jedi Mind Trip put some nice pictures of nick on their website: www.jedimindtrip.com

I agree that Nick will be greatly missed by not only the music community but by all. He was not only a very talented singer but one of the most friendly guys you could know. I hope that everyone will keep his family and friends in their thoughts & prayers. Perhaps the Spirit will do something this weekend in remembrance of him?

I first got to meet Nick over a year ago when he was selling season tickets at out facility. Over the past 15 months I developed a true friendship with him. After most every game last year, he would stop by to see me in the blue line club afterwards to shoot the crap and talk about the game. Man, I was absolutely shocked when I heard the news this morning. He was a good guy and I am truly saddened by this news.

Wow, when i first saw the post i thought it was about the atlanta thrashers players Danny Heatly and Dan Snyder. What a shocker, this hits close to home and is very sad. The first time i saw him was the home opener this year and now i feel bad that i didnt know at the time it was nick, i recall seeing his name in my programs from last year. This year for the home opener he announced for the people walking in the scec that i had one extra ticket for sale..Thanks Nick.....

I was stunned when I read in the paper that Nick Andros died. My son had always practiced announcing the team (at our home of course) just like Nick did at the games. He always had such enthusiasm in his voice. We will miss him very much.
