Yesterday Adam arrived in Taiwan. Heung shuai will be attending the 43th Golden Bell Award ceremony today.
Adam has many fans in Taiwan. Yesterday the airport security officer also admitted that he is a fan of him. The police officer told the reporters that he has been an Adam's fan for more than 10 years already. Although it has been many years, he feel that Adam still looks so suave and keeps up well,he says even when Adam speaks, he still sound so gentle. Heung shuai's charm is really irrestible. At the airport, you could still see many young girls holding cameras and snapping at Adam.
Adam Wants to Clarify
With regards to the "dog" magazines accusing his wife Eve for forbidding him to see his daughter Joyce, Adam wanted to make a clarification for his wife. Adam says his wife is a very understanding wife and she will make soups and take good care of the family. She will also take the initiative to call joyce and invited joyce to be with them on family day. Our family is a family that the man works while the woman take care of the family stuff. At first the dog magazine did invited my wife for an interview but chingwah hasn't appear in the media for a long time and she doesnt wants to be interviewed. She always make the initiative to call joyce, it's not true about what the dog magazines have been reporting that she forbids him to visit. Regarding this, I feel that she's really been suffering a grievance. I hope I can clarify this here.
Is it tiring for joyce to join the showbiz? Adam has been through all these before and there's no parent that don't feel for their kids. Adam knows that it's not easy in the showbiz and he doesn't encourage her to join this trade but her daughter is interested therefore Adam will still show his supports in a positive way. Afterall if she is interested in this, she will be willing to put effort in it.

Yesterday Adam arrived in Taiwan to attend the 43th Golden Bell Award ceremony , he was accompanied by his wife Eve.
Adam appeared wearing sunglasses and he wore an embroidery shirt, he still look suave and dashing. There are many fans who asked to take picture with him, his wife Eve was walking behind him in a distance and keep a low profile and she get into the car first and waited for Adam.
Adam will be giving out 2 awards with jiang su na (the maid in ql). At the airport, Adam is friendly toward the medias and he reply every questions the media asked. Adam also specially clarify for Eve, " I'm always busy at work, on sunday family day, my wife always reminded me to invite joyce home for meal.
she's the one who always think of joyce first so it's really unfair to her for all those kinds of reports on her."
Adam says earlier he was filming and joyce happen to filming at the next studio so they always arrange to meet for meals and he also bring soup for her. Adam says joyce like the soup that eve made. Although joyce busy but she and adam's 2 daughters did contact through sms. Adam says " The 3 of them are close, although there are all kind of rumours out there but our family knows that we care for each other."
Before Adam came to taiwan, he already sms joyce and she wish him good show. Adam also intended to buy her 'duck tongue' that she like to eat. Regarding what's adam will be wearing in the award event, Adam who has been so handsome for many years replies that for a male star, it's most important to wear appropriate for the event. As for what to say in the event, Adam jokes that he will leave it to his partner jiang su na to handle it. Adam just finished filming tvb series and he will be going to US to do a concert next month.
Adam, the Chor Lau Heung was back to Taiwan to attend the 43th Golden Bell Award ceremony. His wife Eve accompanied him back. Although they are really low profile but they are sweet as they are always went everywhere together, really envious them.
Yesterday both of them appeared at a cantonese restuarant in the hotel where they's staying. When talks about their daughters, Adam smiles and says ' the kids afraid the classmates will talks so they always don't want to see me at their school. Actually I feel abit heartache on that." His wife Eve immdediately console him when she heard that," will be ok when they grow older, still kids". Then Both of them look at each other and smile..no words need to be said.
Adam who is really professional about his work, has been studying the script eversince he arrive in Taiwan. He will be giving out 2 awards together with jiang su na (the maid in ql). he has been trying to remember all the lines. Adam says " cannot read out wrongly, it's rude." Eve revealed, " whenever there's performance, chowgor put alot of effort in it. Soon he will be performing in US on thanksgiving day, he has been practising singing and dancing everyday. even when he came back to give awards,.he is making sure of all the details".
Adam says, " On the stage, one must be natural in everything he does. Even the voice has to be smooth, just like music. only with more practise then one can do well. And when speaking, it's most important that one must have feeling then you can touch the audience's heart. Do u like to acting or singing more? Eve says. " He like acting". Adam speak humourously and says, " For Acting you can NG but if make mistakes when singing on stage, you can't repeat again."
The recent Finance storm has affected many artistes, Adam says, " I never like to take risks so I'm not rich." Due to his stable investment, he only suffer alittle loss. but Adam is observance, he says " I intends to start buying some shares now, will invest in xx shares and will also take a look at Taiwan property estate."
Adam knows how to take good care of himself, he exercise alot and eat alot too. He is always the handsome and charming Chor Lau Heung. Recently he ate some nuts hoping to lower his cholestral but he end up having some pimples. He laughs and says, " more pimples look more younger."
Earlier on, Adam was invited by the Macao Cultural Affairs Bureau to performed in the Macao 22nd international music festive with the Macao chinese orchestra. They performed a 3 night concerts and the tickets are sold out. Adam enjoying the concert as he sangs and appeared in different images such as the dashing daihup looks, the emperor looks and the gentleman looks. The concert's atmosphere was great and his loyal housewives fans have been cheering him throughout the shows.
Adam is really satisfied with his performance.
Adam started off the concert by singing 'Wong dia zi sun', he appears in his charming daihup looks with dancers and he sang his classical wuxia songs. Adam also duet with his gueststar Lau, the audiences really enjoys their performance.
Adam indicated that it's a rare chance to cooperate with the Macao chinese orchestra and it's an honour to perform with them, he is grateful to the music conductor for recomposing the songs and he revealed that, 3 month ago they have already prepare a musical version for him to practise so as to get used to it. Adam laughs," I am really satisfied with the performance and I gave myself 80 points for that" but his fans feel that he can get more than 110 points.

On Saturday, 25 October 2008, distinguished guests and members of the NAFA community such as alumni, ardent supporters in the business and industrial sectors, NAFA Council members and staff will come together and take time to celebrate the Academy’s progress and rekindle ties at the NAFA 70th Anniversary Fundraising Gala Dinner, to be held at 6.30pm at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore (The Grand Ballroom). The Gala Dinner signifies yet another climax of the series of celebratory activities that spanned across the year.
Apart from celebrating NAFA’s 70th Anniversary, the Gala Dinner aims to raise funds for the infrastructural development of NAFA, and the physical facilities and amenities of the Academy, as well as the upgrading of teaching equipment. The proceeds will also be used for training and upgrading of the faculty and the expansion of scholarships, bursaries and other financial assistance schemes for the financially needy students.
NAFA is extremely honoured to have Senior Minister, Mr Goh Chok Tong preside over the event as Guest of Honour, who will be accompanied by Mrs Goh-Tan Choo Leng. In addition, the Dinner will also be graced by the presence of Dr Lee Boon Yang, Minister for Information, Communications & the Arts.
The key highlight of the evening will be a performance by renowned artiste, Mr Adam Cheng who has generously waived off his celebrity fee. He will be belting out evergreen Cantonese hits including 《楚留香》，《倚天屠龍記》，《輪流轉》and 《書劍恩仇錄》. In addition, NAFA Fellow, Dr Ho Kah Leong will be donating one of his paintings depicting the former Middle Road campus a decade back. Guests will also be entertained by NAFA’s very own talents from its Department of Music, namely, the Gamelan Ensemble and Brass Ensemble; School of Young Talents; and the Department of Dance. The pieces are especially choreographed and arranged by the students for the 70th anniversary celebration.
Mr Poh Choon Ann, Chairman of the Gala Dinner Organising Committee and Vice-Chairman of the NAFA Council, said: “Improvement, diversity and excellence are at the forefront of today’s educational landscape. To keep in pace with the growth and demands of the creative industries, NAFA needs to continually upgrade its software and facilities on campus. We appeal to our alumni, individuals, community organisations and the business sector for their generous support of our fundraising drive to advance the cause of arts education in Singapore, to further develop the growth of NAFA and to enable the Academy to reach out to more financially needy students.”

Adam Performs at NAFA 70th anniversary Fund-raising Gala Dinner
Yesterday Adam performed for NAFA 70th anniversary fund raising
gala-dinner in Singapore. He was specially invited to perform in the
charity event as the only guest star performer.
Adam has brought to life many of his classical characters that he
portrayed such as Chor Lau Heung, Cheung Mo Kei, Chan Ka Lok, etc.
Yesterday NAFA Chinese orchestra performed while Adam sang Chor Lau
Heung, Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber, Book and Sword, and rotation theme
songs. There were about 600 guests attending the dinner and they gave
Adam loud applause. To many of the young students here, Adam does not
belong to their generation. But a student who was interviewed saying
that she has been accompanying her dad listen to a lot of old songs and
has been accompanying her mom to watch many of Adam series. Thus, she is
familiar with Adam too. She said the older artists have real talents and
their style is more special; therefore, many people still love to listen
to their songs. She wants to learn from them and upgrade herself.
The host interviewed Adam on the stage and Adam encouraged the students
not to give up their art work easily. Adam said art is able to upgrade
our styles of living and making life interesting. He encouraged the
students to stay firm in their work. Adam was invited to perform by the
NAFA gala-dinner organizer. The organizer said older artists are more
loyal to friends and that he has known Adam for more than 30 years. He
said he had made a distance call to invite Adam to perform in Singapore.
Adam checked the date and replied him within three days, telling him
that he will attend and he will generously waive the celebrity fee. With
Adam's help, they successfully managed to raise more than $400,000. the
money will go towards initiatives such as infrastructural projects,
faculty training and financial assistance for needed students.
Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Information, Communications & the Arts
Minister Lee Boon Yang were present at the event. Adam also received a
memento from senior minister Goh Chok Tong.
