I want to know whats up with that one scene with Jemima holding hands with the twins and when they let go, she like falls. I dont understand it, are the twins like magical? The scene I'm talking about is [in the movie] when she sings in Moments of Happiness. If anyone can tell me about that.
Magical? Tantomile is called the "Witch Cat" by TS Eliot, so she could very well be magical. Her magic may be very basic and elemental in nature, since the term "Witch" can be seen as part of the Wiccan beliefs. Called a "Wicce", Tantomile would fit in very well...
The way I understand this scene, Old Deuteronomy has contemplated the "Moments of Happiness" and he wants the revelation to be delivered to the Tribe. In the NLT (London) version, Old Deuteronomy would be heard to say, "Tell them, child." He would gesture towards the Dark Twins of Coricopat and Tantomile - essentially sending the thought to them, and they would send that thought to Jemima. After Jemima delivers the thoughts, they break the link, and collapse for a brief moment.
