I sincerely hope that Gools, TB, and Doc didn't have a falling out; as this would be horribly disappointing and could cause waves with related projects. It's not my place to say anything, other than that I hope all parties involved with the bands are well and there isn't too much turbulence between them.
Thanks for the clear up, I hope this is the case. I was concerned because the requirements were painfully specific in regard to age and drinking habits of the new hopeful, as well as the strength / equipment requirements.
nah all the drummers from blitzkid have been totally adequate to be in a band and most have been really good people/drummers, when a band goes through people like that it usually means there dick heads to work with, and judging from there new post about the drummer requirements they definitely seem like dicks to me.
I've met Goolsby and from my perspective he was anything but a "d*ckhead". I found him to be very down to earth and cool.
Fingers crossed for an U.S. XWard tour but I'm not holding my breath. From what I hear Gorgeous Frankenstein will be going to LA soon to record the new album at Danzig's studio. Plus wasn't Doc planning on the XWard touring Europe?

From the sounds of the requirments, it's sounds like they know exactly what they are looking for for the good of the band.

Blitzkid are pros and they want to work with other pros, that's why they have such strict requirements. Beside who wants to work with and tour with someone you don't get along with?
Yeah. I don't think it's anything bad between the Doc or Blitzkid.
I mean he just did a two month European tour with them, so it has nothing to do with finding time. I think it's more picking what project's he wants to work on.
Who ever sent that message to you Rae, would just disregard them, they are obviously a haters that can't find anything better to do with their time.
We get them all the time, it's better just to disregard what they say since they themselves are irrelevant.
But, as far as Doc and Blitzkid... I wouldn't worry about it.
If Doc is recording his G.F. tracks now, then all is good between him and Blitzkid considering Goolsby is G.F.'s singer and bass player.
People can't make every tour, especially when they are just filling in for awhile.
George posted a bulletin on Myspace today saying they hope to tour in Europe this November. Yeah, I'm sure Gools and Doc are cool. Like Shane said they still bandmates in GF. Blitzkid is probably just needing to get a full time, steady drummer.
wow this made an unintentional stir! I'm glad to hear everything's chill, and time management is a massive thing that's important for not only bands but band members as well; being an overworked musician isn't a very healthy thing. And we want everybody out there making kick-A tunes to keep on keeping on! If things are still on schedule Doc should be in LA, hope he travels safely and has a great time doing the tracks. Thanks everyone, and next time Doc leaves me another note I'll make it a point to ask what information he wants me to post up here.

hey guys there is no bad blood between us and the doc. we love the doc. he is family to us. we just need a steady full time drummer. regarding our requirements for the band, if they make us seem like dicks thats too bad. were easy people. but were also professionals. and if the world is anything like myspace we'd most likely get a **** ton of time wasting spam for submissions. we know what we want so why beat around the bush? if we sound harsh in those requirements its because this is a demanding job. physically and mentally. so were preparing people. we dont write the rules. but we sure as hell have to hit them head on. anyway, long live the Doc!

I totally understand why you guys are so specific about who submits stuff.
I don't think it's you all being a dick, and it boggles my mind people think that.
You got to do what's best for the band and that includes everything you listed for your submissions.
