One of my favorite things to do is the word jumble in the newspaper. I think I'm pretty good at it, but not nearly as quick as my sister Carol, who can do the entire puzzle in seconds. I think that people who write a lot can get them quick. So, since so many of you are writers, here's one that was in yesterday's paper...
Clue: Some ___________ can grow to 50 ft. in length.
This was an amatuer's attempt at befuddling us? Come on you can do better than this? This was a 15 second puzzle. I've waited all day for some of you writers to answer this.
TAPEWORMS
Gina - I hope you know I am just kidding. I've looked at the scrambled letters for a l o n g time. My wife Debbie looked at it for 15 seconds and had the answer.
Hee hee. Yeah, 15 seconds for Debbie, maybe :)
Dont'cha just hate that? Like I said, I'll be working on one furiously, then, my sister might be happening to walk by, glance over my shoulder while she's talking on the phone or distracted doing something else, and get the answer in two seconds. Unreal. And, Rich is no help when I get stuck. He's SO bad at these.
Oh, Garry, that really stinks! Our paper has a word jumble, and also a jumble crossword puzzle. Here are the clues to the crossword puzzle for you to unscramble. Better act quick, before Dave beats you to it...ahem, or should I say DEBBIE beats you to it :)
