I was wondering if anyone saw the ABC 50th TV Anniversary Special the other night and if there were any Western Highlights which stood out.
I hope they show it in Australia as well.

Yeah, I saw it, but I was flipping back and forth between that, the Yankee game, the Martha Stewart movie, and Mr. Personality (you know, the one that Monica Lewinsky hosts? - She got a lot of work done to her face!) What a treat to have the TV clicker all to myself for once! It was a great special, very well worth watching. I didn't see any western highlights, but its possible I could have missed that part.

Thanks for the report,I'm sure they would have featured TV Westerns while you were "out" as they were hugely popular during the 50's and 60's.

I taped it but haven't had a chance to watch yet.

Clint Walker, Lee Majors and Hugh O'Brian all made personal appearances on stage. Great to see them. They included some TV clips from Cheyenne, Wagon Train, Wyatt Earp, Kung Fu, Big Valley etc.

I thought that might be the case as I saw a picture of them on the internet promoting the event.
I just hope they show it on satellite TV in the near future-thanks again.
