Hi Guy
It is really hot here too! Never thought I'd be so glad for winter to arrive. We were in Montana over
the week-end and the smoke was so thick you couldn't see the mountains. Really didn't do much for my asthma either. We are all praying for rain, without
the lightening.
I heard on the Weather Channel that there are a lot of forest fires out west. It is awful. Hope none of you are in danger of those fires. If I could send the rain we keep getting here, I would!!! Best wishes,Cheri
Ditto, Cheri. It rains here just about every day at dinner time and the grass stays wet in the morning till about 11. During the day it's hot and hazy. Even though the sun comes out, the skies aren't blue. Just sorta hazy grayish blue. It's crazy. You could be driving down the street, and it's nice, and then 200 ft down the road, hit a rain cloud where you get drenched, and drive out of it in the next 200 ft. Last week, we were laughing because it was raining on our house, but our neighbor's house right across the street had the sun shining brightly on it. I'm not ready for winter, though. Not after the one we had last year. It feels like it just ended. I like winter, but that one was so long and horrible. I'll take this over that for sure. Anyway, I've gotten to see Mars for the last week or so, and that's cool. So, what's the deal with that - on August 31 is it just going to go away? Mule will get on it for me and let me know :) Anyway, I hope that all the folks out there dying for some precipitation get it in the next few months. I don't know how much longer they can stand the drought for. That's not good, either.
They're already talking that the costs required to upgrade our electical facilities after the power outages last week are going to be passed on to the consumers. Of course, why would we think otherwise? I guess that just means they'll have to raise everyone's salaries to go along with it, right?
