Last night, I was driving down the road, when I saw a little white lop-eared bunny with black leopard spots sitting on the side of the road. As I drove past, he didn't move, but looked up at me real sad. So, of course, I turned around and picked him up, asked the houses in the area if he was theirs, and now I'm stuck with a bunny. I'll check the vet and some friends to see if they'll take him, and either bring him to the animal shelter, or, who knows, maybe he'll end up here. He's SO SWEET and gentle! but I really don't want a rabbit! Oye! How do I get myself into these things? Of course, by the time I went to bed last night, I couldn't sleep a wink because Rich had me pegged for having every single disease known to mankind by picking up a stray animal.
Gina Gina Gina!!!
You are one big softy.. I would have done the same thing.
I have rescued many animals in my younger years .. in fact
I even rescued animals that didnt need rescuing such as the neighbourhood dogs that were enjoying the fresh air in their owners front yards.. Couldnt help myself....Guess that's called dognapping but how was I to know ?

Nooooo, it's not mine!!! :) Betcha thought it was!
By my 3rd phone call this morning, he was adopted by the "rabbit rescue" place that the spca recommended. This woman has all kinds of rabbits she shows at the 4H and Grange fairs, and she said she was in need of a male lop-eared bunny for breeding. Well, it turns out, Lucky is a male, and tonight, when I brought him to her house, you never did see a happier bunny. Lucky struck gold. He was quite "Lucky", as within the first 5 seconds of me being there, he did was rabbits do best, and then went cage hopping and got to do it all again with a different rabbit. I think I saw him smiling. I'm not even gonna read the papers next week to see if someone lost their rabbit, because he's in a terrific place right now. This lady also had a litter of German Sheperd puppies that were only 4 weeks old, and I got to hold them. They were the cutest little puffballs I ever saw!!! I want one! Someday.
All's well that ends well. I'm glad it turned out for the best this time.
