WHHHHOOOOOOOOFFFA........

IT'S HOT HERE ! It hit 100 degrees here in South East Idaho. Even the nights here are warm.
I got up early this AM and thought I was in Los Angeles, California. All it lacked was the smog.

Any body else been warm?

It's just as hot here

July 14 2005, 11:31 PM

Hey Mule,

We have one nasty heat wave here in Toronto..It's about 95 and climbing with no end in sight for the next 4 days.
That's not taking into consideration the humidity that's pushing it over 100 degrees. We have a heat alert and a smog advisory. In some areas there is a ban on watering lawns..

Hope everyone is finding relief from the heat.

It's 90 and humid like soup here. The air is so heavy. It rains every day here. Haven't seen the sun since last Sunday. The sky is just grayish and blah. But I'll take it after the long snowy winter we had. It's great to go outside without a coat!

Hey Mule, I heard we had a heat wavy but I just got home after 5 days in the hospital so I've missed most of it.
Man is it good to be home!!!!!!!!!!!! I missed the trip to California for Bob's Uncle's 100th birthday party, too.

Hope everyone is staying cool.

Welcome Home

July 17 2005, 2:12 PM

Linda,

I'm being nosey...... Hope your hospital stay was okay........... and glad your home.

100 years? WHHHOOOFA .....I didn't think I'd ever make it to 50 years.

Did you get to read those couple of books?
Times like that makes a person wish for a new Kirby Jonas book to read huh?

Hey Mule,

Sorry no such thing as a good hospital stay :) I'm doing
ok though thanks.

I haven't started the books yet. When I was in the hospital they had me on a lot of pain meds and I couldn't
concentrate or stay awake long enough to read. Hope to
get started soon though. A new Kirby book sounds good about now.

Man Elizabeth I can't imagine weather that hot. I whine
when it gets above 80! Sure hope it cools off soon for you.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Hi Linda - I'm glad to hear you're home and doing okay. I gather this was an emergency? You'd have told us if it was anything serious, right? Yeah, those pain meds are amazing. I hope you stay out of the hospital for good, now. There's nothing as great as getting home after an ordeal like that. Welcome back. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask..Bob :) Feel better.

Thinking of you

July 18 2005, 9:35 PM

Hey Linda,

My thoughts are with you. I pray that you are better and truly understand how horrible hospital stays can be.

Some more news on the heat wave here in Toronto.. Friday we hit 100 with a humidex that made it feel like 113. There is talk of another black out if people dont conserve energy
The temperature is so high here in my apartment that I am sleeping with ice packs at night to get more than the 3 hours I have been getting. My daughter is away at her grandparents in the country where it is much cooler. Im so relieved for her.

Yesterday I went to a friends for a BBQ only to arrive
to find her in a panic. Her husband was suffering from a heat stroke and was laying on the floor weak and confused. We phoned the emergency help line, gave him first aid and in a few hours he was feeling a bit better but still
not himself. When I left I strongly suggested that she take him in to the hospital if he didnt improve

Our local news reports say that the heat wave is on for at
least the next 4 weeks
Crazy weather all around

Drink lots of water everyone and stay best friend with those who have air conditioning

Elizabeth
