Happy Anniversary HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Happy Anniversary Gina and Rich
Gina,
I know I haven't e-mailed you in a good while. I've losted your e-mail address. If you've e-mailed me I probably didn't get it because I have my computer fixed where I don't get e-mail from someone unless their address is in my system.
I hope the kids are doing Okay.
Do you and Rich have special plans for tonight?
Anyway I wanted you to know that I hadn't forgotten you. Take care.
Congratulations to both Gina and Mule.
Both celebrating their wedding anniversary in August and only a few days apart.I wonder,if they bumped into each other, during their honeymoon, without even knowing each other-at the time.
All the best, with your respective partners.
HEY!!! Garry, I can 't believe you remembered that! You are too much!
Well, I must say, 16 years later...it just ain't exactly like it was for the first one :) Rich is sick with some kind of cold or bronchitis thing going on. On Thursday night, Rich said, "I went to get you a card but the store was closed." I said, "don't worry about it, I didn't get you one, either. Let's save the $7 bucks". My parents came over to babysit for a few hours, and we went to a very nice restaurant that we got a gift certificate for from my sister last Christmas. It was at a fancy agricultural center at the Rockefeller estate. All the food is harvested right from the property - the meat, the dairy, the produce, the herbs- everything. It was very over-the-top – not exactly our style. My family could have eaten a week for what that one meal cost. I guess I try to rationalize it by saying it was something we'd never do otherwise. When we got home, the kids and the dog were all wired and by the time we got everyone settled down and into bed, we were beat, and passed out ourselves without even having s_ _.
Sophia and Rachel have been up in the middle of the night every single night this past week, screaming blood curdling screams at the tops of their lungs - for the silliest reasons - one night someone had a full diaper, the next night, someone had a bad dream. It's ridiculous. Rachel drives us crazy. She is such a screamer - all day long - and she and Sophie battle - all day long. She is scary- she's downright tough and mean.I have to admit to being afraid of her. heh heh. I was watching her the other day, when she thought no one was looking, and she should have a tattoo of an anchor on her forearm. She is something else. I only pray that this is the terrible two's early. Because if it's not, I don't know what we're going to do. She has us just completely frazzled. And Sophie is into everything. I can't keep up. Thank God for John. He's mostly pretty good. We sat at dinner last night, just totally dazed, wondering where we'll be in 16 years from now. I don't care, as long as everyone is off doing their thing and the house is a little quiet sometimes.
Mule, we honeymooned along the east coast - we drove through Maryland along the shore, went to Chincoteague Island where the wile ponies run (remember the book - Misty of Chincoteague?) down to Virginia Beach, and then inland to West Virginia. We had just hit the road and an hour into our trip, we got pulled over by a state trooper because Rich was speeding. We still had some tin cans and things tied to our car from the night before. The cop pulled out his ticket book, and said, "Mr. Romero, I'm going to give you a little wedding present". Then, he put his ticket book away and gave us a long lecture about driving and speeding. WHEW! Mule, what were you doing, checking out sheep on your honeymoon?! You were supposed to be checking out your wife! Congrats on your anniversary.
Happy Anniversary Gina & Rich. In 16 years everything will seem funny, sort of. Each phase has it's own fun
problems but when the grow up & move out or go away to school you'll miss them, some days.
Hope Rich is feeling better.
Mule, happy anniversary to you too. Bob & I had our 24th
this year also.
Linda - we were talking about exactly that - everyone tells us we'll miss these days - and we sit here and we don't believe it! Every time someone is screaming bloody murder and everything is chaos and we're totally miserable, Rich turns to me and says - they say we're gonna miss this someday. heh heh. I'll tell you what - I'll let you know.
