Western movies

Hey everybody,

I made a file of all the movies chosen so far and have pasted them down below my list as a reference. I thought it would be fun to see everyone's choices all together. You will find that my lists are different than most people's lists for many different reasons. I will have an extremely hard time narrowing it down to just the top ten, so I probably won't try right now. This is going to mean I have to watch all my favorites over about a month period and make notes and then do a more in-depth judging. Darn! I have to watch Western movies!!! I hate when that happens. :o)

As you can guess, I'm just kidding. I'll watch Western movies at the drop of a hat, till the cows come home, or till the fat dance hall girl sings.

I am including a bunch of John Wayne movies at the end that I like mostly because of John Wayne and the rest of the cast. There are reasons they didn't make it to the top of the list, but because of JW I can't leave them completely out.

My list of favorites off the top of my head, in no particular order, not narrowed down yet: (And I'm sure I'm still missing a few)

Gina, I know you're ribbing me, but actually you were right. Linda had at least three in her list that I would put in my list and forgot. I knew that would happen! The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing was one. A great Burt Reynolds movie. And who can forget Support Your Local Sheriff, one of James Garner's best roles. Then there's Shane. I don't know how you could forget one of the most highly thought of Westerns of all-time.
