I happened to see the list of Holidays in Indian Embassy US.

Now is this another appeasement of BJP people? What is Yashwant Sinha doing?

Or like VHP etc, does BJP also include Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists as Hindus? Even then don't you think Hindu holidays are less represented(Krishna Jayanthi, Holi, Ganesh Chathurthi etc) and even unimportnat Muslim fetivals are inculded. Nowhere in proportion to the population...

Yes, we probably should not take too much festival holidays. So then what are 4 Muslim holidays doing there? Who decides on these- GoI or Embassy?

We have to remeber that BJP is a secular party.

It is not a hindu party, unlike hindu-mahasabha.

It has minority cells, claims that muslims are not appreased, supports haj subsidies.

IT is trying to establsih its credentials as a secular party. But its opponenets cast it as a hindu party. Lot of hindus unfortunately beleive it so. It is a myth. Hajiupayee/Hajivani never opend their mouths in defence of Hinus/

One plus point to it is, so for it has not behaved like a anti-hindu party like the italian congress.

It is idologically very poor like VHP, RSS, and mouths some shibboliths like cultural nationalsim etc.
