| Indians should focus on India. | March 19 2003, 10:07 AM |
Instead of wasting time on the war on Iraq Indians should look at India and see how so many people are being killed everyday. Just look at how many bombs are being blasted. Even our Parliment was not safe. But what to Indians do?
They beg for approval from Americans. Americans are not bullies. Indians are cowards. Or rather Indian voters are cowards for voting such useless politicians. Indian Army on the other hand is very brave. Indians have no right to talk about America etc. Did we not go and fall fully flat on the feet of Americnas with the help of Vajpayee? And now we accuse them of being bullies? What hypocracy! |

Those who criticizes America, does not understand America's role played in last 50 years in the world. I myself do not like arrogance, bullying of America but I know and understand one thing that " Had there been no United States, we Indians could languish either in Nazi Camp or Communist labor camps in Siberia."
But I understand the problem of our intellectuals who only know how to copy west and try to analyze through western prism.
If you do not like bullying of America, wait. When you will be powerful, remember that. Don't bully on others. One is not at all considering the fact that people of Iraq is in miserable state. They are oppressed by the dictator. Murder, rape, torture is the order of the day of Saddam's regime. And look at the tears of our intellectuals for Saddam!!!!!! |

Lot of our intellectuals know that they have to criticize America. But why? Tomorrow they have to stand in queue in front of US embassy for US visa. Are our intellectuals mad? This is again the result of Communist influence which has influenced lots and lots of Indian mind. They and their pet historians have tought us that US is evil. Do you know who are evil? Do you know few days back in west bengal, ruling CPI(M)workers raped all the wonem who were returning from a marriage party? Where were those idiot intellectuals who are now crying for Iraq? This has become now a passion to forget India and concentrate on outside.
I just hate to spend time even criticizing all these Indians. May God give them consciousness! |

Dear Shashi,
You make a very valid point ! Its important that we should bring atrocities that happen in our backyard to the forefront. We Indians are very forgiving and become lose empathy very quickly. The Indian press and media is partially responsible. Please send me a link and I will send it to the PM to protest. Infact, all of us must till we force them to bring the criminals to justice.
On the other hand, to be counted as a force and get respect in the world, we cannot shirk from our responsibility of comments and interacting with the world community. Do you think that wahy America is doing in Iraq today is legal and justified ? Certainly not - in my opinion. Iraq is a secular nation who has a brutal dictator. However, how many Iraqis were in those planes that went into the WTC ? How many Iraqis have been involved in killings of western or even eastern nationals - none. Saudis that finance, arm and spread anti- Hinduism, anti-christianity and anything western and tolerant are people that America is turning a blind eye too. Is Pakistan a safe nation or a rogue nation ? Who supported and built the Taliban ? ISI or Iraqis ? How come Pakistan is become the darling of the west ? These are questions all well meaning Indians have a right to question.
I hope you will support this view - However, you feel that Indians need to first look inwards, I still support your views. | |
