Curious about title, Sunday School in Exile

Are there pastors/elders here who can answer Biblical questions? Our church currently does not have Sunday school, our pastor is shepherd over two congregations and we have lost two elders recently.

I'll give this question a shot. Are "tares" in church our brothers in Christ if they are posing as one? I guess there is no way of knowing but what if they relate another gospel? Are they then false teachers? If they have been counselled about their beliefs and do not cease, cant the pastor ask them to leave? We have just such a couple in our church now and it seems like such a battle now on Sundays. Why do people go to church if they do not believe in the essential tenets of the Christian faith and seem only to want to destroy? I want to be civil towards them, everyone else ignores them. What should be done?

Thanks in advance.

Boy have you come to the wrong place!

Dear Curious,

If you're curious about division in the church, then this is not the place to get an answer! This whole "Concerned Members" website is devoted to tearing down the church and smearing congregations--it is not in the business of solving problems or edifying Christians or promoting unity. Quite the opposite! Ken Sublett and his cronies who contribute to this little "Hate-Fest" will never give you a straight answer. They will only pass judgment, hurl insults, and maybe even threaten you. They will probably tell you first of all that since you're apparently not from a congregation of the church of Christ, you're going to hell anyway. Those are THEIR words, not MY words, mind you.

But in answer to your question, personally I'd find another church!

WARNING FROM THE MODERATOR

Provocateurs and devils that are liars get moved to the Vipers Den without notice.

And it's pretty crowded in there.

The Bible strongly condemns those who introduce doctrines and teachings which are contrary to Scripture:

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Gal. 1:8 KJV).

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Tim. 4:3-4 KJV).

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Eph. 5:11 KJV).

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple” (Rom. 16:17-18 KJV).

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds” (2 John 9-11 KJV).

These verses clearly indicate that those who would pervert the Word of God with any other kind of doctrine must not be tolerated, especially in the assembly for worship. If the preacher and/or elders have counseled the people in your church who are apparently spreading false doctrines or other alien philosophies, and if these people refuse to listen and become subject to the teachings of the New Testament, then they should be ejected from your church, and with full biblical authority. That’s not likely to happen, however, if your congregation is spiritually apathetic, or if yours is an ecumenical, post-modern church, which tolerates virtually all “doctrines” as long as you have a “heart for Jesus” and which avoids reproving anyone’s unscriptural views for fear of being labeled as “judgmental.” Therefore, you, your congregation, and your church leaders must take a stand against those who would come in and pollute the worship with any doctrines or observances contrary to what is absolutely and specifically authorized in the New Testament. But if your congregation and church leaders side with the “false teachers,” you are in a no-win situation; in that case, you would be advised to find another church.

Sunday School in Exile

The title SSE came about, in that, we need a place to teach and be taught deeper subjects that churches do not want to teach or discuss. The main reasons that churches shy away from the topics we discuss on this site are: churches that are 501.3.c corps are not allowed to teach against the workings of satan, or they do not want the sheep to wake up, or they just plain don't know God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit and it scares them. If I was to narrow it down to one thing it would be that members of a congergation has God stuffed into a box so that they are comfortable with God. They want God in their comfort zone rather than being in God's comfort zone, so they shut their ears too, and shut the mouths of, anyone that teaches the whole Word of God.
As to what to do with your trouble makers. If they are making you uncomfortable search out way you are uncomfortable. Are they teaching or sharing the truth? You will have to test what they are saying, and that involves study the Word. If it is truth; listen, if lies; rebuke them. Who knows maybe they are searching and would welcome the truth. If they are true trouble makers, they need to faced, they will not leave on they own.

To God be the Glory

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened At the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
