Kenneth Sublett is leader to this new CULT and is brainwashing other church leaders in Lewis County. Kenneth Sublett has claimed on these message boards that he is unable to attend worship services because he is a shut-in but he has made every effort to attend secret meetings that are held in order to overthrow the Leadership of the "____________" Church of Christ. It seems that he is only a shut in by convenience. The "_____________" Church of Christ is attempting to dis-fellowship the "__________" Church of Christ based strictly on rumors and the unorganized CHANGE AGENT AGENDA of Kenneth Sublett. He is throwing around terms loosely so that you will fall prey to his brainwashing when he is a supporter of the change agent agenda. His constant support of Rubel Shelly, Max Lucado, and the Purpose Driven Church is clear. He has read and listened to these men more than anyone has at the "___________" Church of Christ. He has caused men and women both to leave the "____________" Church of Christ by tricking them into listening to these men, while the "___________" Church of Christ leadership has not even read the Purpose Driven Church. He is also a subscriber of the WINESKINS magazine, which he claims he is against. His family has bitterness towards everyone in Lewis County. He has been so focused on the destruction of the Churches of Christ in Lewis County that he has failed to bring his own daughter to Christ who is living an unsaved life in another state. His legalism has made it impossible for his own family to enter the gates of heaven. The people of Hohenwald and Lewis County Churches of Christ, including members of his own congregation (so we hear) are rebuking Him and he is not welcomed in Lewis County by a majority.

The "_____________" Church of Christ has been a Biblical Church and continues to be. But the following men have been tricked into following the teachings of Sublett, rather than God. The following men signed a letter wanting to disfellowship the "____________" Church of Christ, when they have no basis except rumors. Their invitation to meet with the Elders of the "____________" Church of Christ was extended with a condemning and judgmental tone. (the elders provided a copy to all their members and that is how I got one) Before the Elders of the "______________" Church of Christ could respond they already had another letter ready to mail. Listen to this…these men did this without the consent of their congregations and elders. By the way, many of the churches in Lewis County have no Elderships and they choose to engage war with the "__________" Church of Christ????? HMM… These men support and encourage the use of anonymity by getting people to write anonymous letters to members of the "_______" Church of Christ, using the cultic material form Sublett’s website. They have caused new converts who were baptized for the remission of their sins to leave the Lord’s church all together and return to their former ways of life, living in sin. How can this be right? Sublet and his ARMY are fighting against God and HIS Church at "_____________".

Here are the men who are a cancer to the churches of Christ in Lewis County. These men signed a letter condemning the "__________" Church of Christ and claimed to represent their Church when they did not. They are secretly planning to send a new letter with Churches of Christ in Lewis County, condemning the "_______________" Church of Christ, although they have no grounds but unverified rumors. The congregations will not be aware of the decision their church leaders are making. ALL MEMBERS OF ALL LEWIS COUNTY CHURCHES should not support this letter because of the men who are involved. Demand that your leaders step down or go to another church. These are things you should know.

1. "____ ______" who is the dictator of the "________" Church of Christ along with his apprentice "______ _______", have caused controversy among families and divided them. These two men claimed to represent their church when many in their church are embarrassed by them but because they have caused so many to fear them with their misuse of scripture and prooftext, their congregations are AFAID to disfellowship them. "______" resigned from the "__________" Church of Christ as Deacon. His Father in Law "____ _____" did the same. THEY Both HOLD A GRUDGE and have been caught spreading rumors and lies in the community.

2. "_______ _______" who was a former Deacon at the "______________" Church of Christ LIED to an ELDER when asked if he was going to resign one Sunday. He said he was not. Then he stood in front of the congregation that same day and condemned them while also resigning. His wife "___", had close ties to former preachers, "____ _____" and "_____ ______" and she is upset that they are no longer at "___________". They have a GRUDGE! The "____________" Church has supported them with time and money for YEARS and although their own children disagree with their parent’s theology, their kids were forced to leave the "____________" Church by their parents. Even though 3 out of 4 kids had children outside of Wedlock, including "_____ _______" and "____ ____" themselves. "____" claimed to represent the "______" Church of Christ when everyone out there says they wish they would go back to "___________".

3. "_____ ______", does not have contact with his own family and holds personal GRUDGES against members at the "___________" Church of Christ. He also claims that music is being piped into the "____________" Church of Christ from their Daycare. That is how they get around the instrumental music issue. REDICULOUS! By the way one of these men has a daughter who woks at that daycare but is not allowed to attend church there. Shouldn’t she know if anyone does?

4. "____ ______" has a "____" who is dating a "____" who is "____________" and he is mad at the "_____________" Church of Christ because the Church did not do anything about it. He was a former Deacon. GRUDGE!

5. "____ _______" is a former member of the "___________" Church of Christ and when a piece of furniture was being moved into the building he told everyone in the county that it was a piano. It was a DRESSER that was given to the church from the estate of a former member who passed away.

6. "_____ _____" was told not to attend the meeting, went anyway. The "______" Church of Christ is furious with Him and he is not welcomed in their building so we understand.

7. "____ ______" who also claimed to represent the "_______" Church of Christ and who is a local commisoner, signed the letter when his eldership decided not to go. He also stated that he signed it without even reading it. His fellow elder "______ _______" has sent spies to gather dirt on members of the "_____________" Church of Christ. He has been caught in several lies along with Elder "______ ________". They also are doing the Financial Peace University in order to compete with the "____________" Church of Christ, but the only church that is receiving a hard time about it is the "_____________" Church of Christ. DOUBLE STANDARD?!?!?!?!?

8. Representation from the "_________" church was also there but everyone in the county knows that they are divided right down the middle and that men who have unscriptural divorces lead the worship services.

9. There were a total of 30 men who signed the letter but many of them felt threatened and were cornered to sign it. They have turned the Lewis County churches of Christ into a denomination and EVEYONE should take a stance against that.




Much of this is hearsay and rumors but a lot of it can be proven. The point of this is to say that Kenneth has led a revolt with men who have personal grudges rather than doctrinal differences with the "__________" Church of Christ. They have persuaded many to join their unworthy cause. Anyone who follows these men are in danger. Those who have left the "_____________" Church of Christ should be concerned because it shows your support of these men and your day will come when you have to answer for why you left the Lord’s church at "_____________". You have turned your back on God, not man.

These men have caused division in their own churches and they are now facing members who are leaving their churches because of what they have done. The only thing they have done to the "_______________" Church of Christ, is cause them to grow spiritually and be united in the truth of God’s word. The truth is, these other churches already stopped doing anything with the "________________" Church so why are they making things worse for themselves. Pray for them! Let these men know of how disappointed you are in them, and let them know that you do not want them as your leaders and elders. Let them know what they have done is wrong. Before they cause you to disfellowship one church, you should consider disfellowshipping them as individuals for the sins they have failed to repent of.

I write all of this as one of the biggest sinners in Lewis County. I used to believe in the “church of Christ” but now I believe different. Wonder why I changed my mind? I know now, that if I want to go to the "__________" Church of Chirst, they will help me, not condemn me.

Pray that this county can have something else to talk about rather than these 30 men and their gossip. If their wives had any sense, they would be in the dog house. I hesitate writing this but I don’t like to see my friends at the "_____________" Church be condemned by a group of 30 men with a bad agenda.

I should not have started this forum and I appreciate so much the moderator for deleting these names. The men that were deleted are good and godly men but the constant attacks by satan on the Lord;s church caused me to crack under pressure. Kenneth is a smart man and and studies well and dilengently. After many in the Hohenwald Church recieved another annonymous letter, i wanted to vent and I should not have done so in this manner.

I have had a hard time with much of the controversy in Lewis County, and I so I changed my name to the Fake Annonymous one, because that is what I have been. Fake. I should not have said what I said and I need help getting over this. Please except my apology Mr. Sublett. Anyone who has ever looked at this site or that of concernedmembers.com knows that the Change Agent Agenda needs no help. They are more than qualified to "change the Church of Christ into a denomination" if let alone. Thankfully this site is trying to inform all about what is happening to and in the church of Christ and what is sure to come unless brave, bold men attempt it's eradication.

You as a reader and writer know that Ken Sublett has, for years, tried desperately to educate and warn the brotherhood about the major and minor change agents. The first part is true, the last four words are an indication of your ignorance of the situation or a deliberate lie.

The meetings of the county church leaders was announced at each congregation and an invitation for anyone to attend. There were never any secret meetings except those conducted by the Hohenwald Elders.

Your letter is indicative of your "intelligence reporting agency". You might want to consult those who really know what is happening in the county rather than the round table at the coffee shop or elders board room. Over 500 of our finest young men have had their lives taken from them due to "faulty intelligence". A little gossip is dangerous.

Your personal attacks against those who finally woke up and left the Hohenwald Church indicates your personal worth as a human being. You have slandered so many good people and thankfully their names have been removed by a considerate moderator. What ever a persons children do after leaving the nest is due, to a large content, on their new environment and should not reflect on their parents parenting skills.

The Church office has details on most members and their families and sounds like you had direct access to personal and confidential material. What you failed to mention is that all of the people mentioned, if my guess to their identity is correct, are spiritually and morally sound, productive people, and are assets to the communities where they live.

You are right gossip is dangerous and I have learned from this mistake more than you know. by doin what I did, i know it was worng but God has taught me what gossip does. It tears down the church and I will have to answer for what I did and I regret every bit of it. Those who have left have left with good intentions and I should have never questioned that. Again I am sorry for what I have said and I wish to hurt no one. I want to take it all back but I know I can't.

All I can say is that I am sorry and that I desire your forgiveness. Del, As a faithful member of Flatrock church, I want everyone to know that NO announcement has ever been made from our pulpit concerning any meetings of Lewis County church leaders. The men from our congregation who attended did so on their own. I can personally attest to the fact that most members do not agree with the current attack of Hohenwald church.
I cannot understand how the elders of Hohenwald church had a "secret" meeting. Do you mean that all elders meetings should be announced county-wide?
I personally think that many things have been taken out of context. When was the last time that any of Hohenwald's accusers actually attended a service there? I have, and I saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Clapping is mentioned in the Bible as an expression of social and religious feelings. The ideas associated with this gesture are not always the ones we associate it with in our culture.
Four Hebrew verbs are used to express the action of clapping (macha', nakah, saphak, taqa'), and all of them contain, as would be expected, the idea of striking something or someone. They are used in conjunction with the noun "hand" (Heb. kaf) to communicate the action of clapping ("striking the hands"). The phrase is used in several different ways.
1. It is an expression of joy at the ascension of the king: This a social function of the gesture. When Joash was introduced as the legitimate heir to the throne those who were present clapped their hands and shouted, "Long live the king!" (2 Kgs. 11:2). A religious usage is found in Ps. 47:1 where the psalmist invites all peoples to clap their hands because the Lord is being proclaimed as King over the earth. In Ps 98:8 the people are exhorted to praise the Lord and the hills to clap their hands because the Lord is coming as King and Judge of the earth. Even nature should rejoice before the Lord.
2. It is an expression of joy on account of God's saving actions: The return of the people of God from their captivity in Babylon is described by Isaiah as an act of redemption. What the Lord will do for His exiled people is so wonderful and glorious that even nature will rejoice. In this context the prophet personifies the trees of the field and describes them as clapping their hands as a gesture of joy (Isa. 55:12).
3. It is an expression of disgust and anger: Balak was angry because Balaam blessed the people of Israel instead of cursing them and he showed this emotion by clapping his hands (Num. 24:10). Ezekiel clapped his hands in disgust after seen the evil practiced in Judah (6:11). The Lord clapped his hands in anger and disgust as a reaction to dishonest gain and to the blood spilled out by His people in Jerusalem (22:13; 21:14, 17). This is a symbolic action on God's part that is followed by His judgment against unrepentant sinners.
4. It is an expression of malicious glee: This meaning is found exclusively in the context of defeated enemies. In the prophecy against Nineveh God announces that all those who will hear about it will clap their hands over the city and its misfortune (Nah. 3:19). The Ammonites clapped their hands and rejoiced with malice against Israel when is was being destroyed by the Babylonians (Ezek. 25:6). It is this same contempt and hostility that those passing by the ruins of Jerusalem expressed by clapping their hands (Lam. 2:15). This hand gesture was indeed a sign of hostility and derision.
There is no clear evidence that this gesture was part of the worship service in the Old and New Testaments. In fact, I did not find the phrase in the New Testament. Therefore, there does not seem to be any biblical parallel to what is taking place in our churches today. You may ask me, Why we do it? I am not sure there is an answer. I suspect that we incorporated clapping into our services from our cultural environment. Clapping is usually associated with the entertainment industry but has become very popular in evangelical televised religious services. Perhaps we copied it from them.
Leaving aside the issue of cultural influence, I suppose that what really matters is that each person be fully aware of the reasons why he or she claps in church. Motivation becomes extremely important in this context. Is it an expression of joy in the Lord and His saving power? Is it only a physical expression or a substitute for what used to be the audible "Amen!"? Or is it a recognition of the good performance of the singer or the preacher

I may interest you to know that when my daughter (very young) went to N.C. she was picked to manage a large store in a large mall. She turned the store around and endured stress you cannot imagine. After almost a year of 24 hours on and 0 hours off she decided that the STRESS VERSUS WAGE lines had crossed. She returned to her house in Nashville, is working to finish (?) her degree in Graphics Communications and works for a Christian institution.

All three girls are baptized believers and either of the two oldest could arm wrestle the preacher and all of the elders on the Bible and CULTS. The youngest in QUESTION did 13 years in a Christian school. However, she finds that charismatic "singing" drives her up the wall just as it does a large part of any congregation. Finding her "eldership" enjoying social drinking didn't help. But they did not TRAFFICK.

Two of them are under the stress of a teacher using The Purpose Driven Life which denies baptism and is hypercalvinistic just like the Engedi.org infiltrating Hohenwald where one miss-speaker is a full professor at Lipsomb and brags about his "ministry" the other is head of Engedi and an elder at the totally divided Smith Springs church of Christ.

My only outings have been one funeral, visits to doctors, dentist and three outpatient visits other than one visit to a sister. I have lost 50 pounds put on by STRESS from the bear clan. Thanks for nothing. I still want my money back: it was taken under false pretenses and DIVERTED. Fiduciary responsibility is still on the menu to be tested. I hope no one gets to go to Oney.

Conformity is what you want, that is, conforming to false teachers and accepting the error of those you mentioned, shelly, etc. One does not have to live in a little corner of TN to know what is happening to the church nationwide as a result of change agents, and their disciples like yourself.

It is evident you are a follower of error and don't like exposure to the truth. You should get yourself a good computer then you can know what is being taught by these false prophets without having to personally know and talk to them.

I'll bet you know a lot about Saddam but probably have never met or talked to him. You need to throw away your NIV and quit listening to those subverting the truth in favor of revenue from their books, etc.

The Grimes family has been big-time and well talented singers in the Hohenwald Church--forever. I knew and loved Mike's Mom and Dad totally. I din't try to figure him out but I don't believe that he would lie-unless he was telling an old FRONTIER HOHENWALD JOKE. I often asked him to warn me when he was about to die: I wanted to pickle his vocal cords.

Mike returned to find the church in Hohenwald consumed with effeminate singing which made the hair stand on the heads of about a hundred people with people defecting still.

He talked to people and they confimed their false beliefs about baptism proven by hiring a preacher who knew BEFOREHAND that he would be USED. As a result of all of the deliberate Purpose Driven Cult heresy-- including acquiring a fan of the cult. This import immediately began sowing discord about how women were ABUSED when not allowed to PERFORM like male PERFORMERS.

Mike and JoAnne wrote a letter to the members reporting his conversation. When getting no good response but verbal abuse they wrote the letter. Another letter had already been read publically by a resigning deacon which the same OFFICE GOSSIP tries to blacken.

The Hohenwald "leaders" publically labeled them as LIARS and SLANDERERS but never said that their SPY-LIKE agenda was false. They have whimpered some weasel words about baptism.

When people call (close to the inside) I ask: "Is Mike Grimes a liar?" The answer is always: No.

Now the Hohenwald group has mailed their own letter trying to discredit Mike and Joanne for belonging to the "Sacred Harp Singers." Now, dummies, they don't use a MECHANICAL HARP but the HARPS God gave them. They don't do WORSHIP SERVICES and do not use instruments.

Hohenwald does not hesitate to allow female singers belonging to a chorus to stand up and sing. They always do the DING DONG closing prayer to say that "This is NOT any longer a worship service." If someone wanted to use the Hohenwald "plant" to hold a seminar about finances to probably sell insurance and Mutual Funds, they do not consider it a WORSHIP SERVICE. Music AS worship is evil when history knows and the practice proves a deliberate intent to SILENCE the voice of a Holy God.

A Memorial is not a worship service: women often sing or even speak at memorials. Meeting in a CHURCH HOUSE does not make singing evil. Pearl Harbor was hit because the Japanese thought that we might cut off the sources of STOLEN war materials. In return they INFILTRATED and DIVERTED and did a sneak attack. Talked with an ex deacon who was smelling but having a hard time catching on until the SINGY types showed up. He says that Mike does not lie but his accusers do.

Here is the letter sent to the county. I got some phone calls asking if it was me but I told them that I am not worried about VIOLENTLY losing my job so I always sign. The calls were very helpful to the cause because even close friends are afraid to violate the CONCENSUS process: they probably thought that God gave it.

I was a minister for the church in a neighboring county about 25 or so years ago. While there, I could not but notice the long, long tradition of close and faithful ties among all the churches of Lewis County. This problem, I know breaks the hearts of so, so many good people. The church of Christ has always been the CHURCH of Lewis County, but now, the devil is at work and is turning the hearts and minds of the people. I wonder what all of the common people in the pew at the small out of the way congreations like Sinking Springs and others think about all of this? Is there any benefit, are they being built up in the Holy Faith?

There is a gospel to stand up for, and there is the purity of the bride of Christ to uphold. There can be no doubt about that. But what I think that many in Lewis County need right now is a good hug and a good talking too.

If I had anything to offer, or even to do, it would be to get some of the good men and women around the county and some from the surrounding counties like Bro Kirk, Trull, Rodgers, Jerrie Barber and others who could get all of the Christians in Lewis County together in one place and just talk this thing out.
Unity is too precious, must weakness will come from this and the Pentecostals and Baptists will jump for joy, but more than that, our people will become more and more irreligious. Who is willing to stand before God on the day of Judgement and hear that we have driven good people away from the Lord?

With all of the issues at Hohenwald church, and most people know who the modern workers are, just think of all the gossiping, backbiting and just plain evil working and talking around the county. No direct conversation, but just everyone writing off each other.

I just think it is time for all the people of Lewis county to get together and iron their own problems out in the spirit of Pauls' teaching of 1 Corinthians.

People need to be directed back to the Lords' church and to the service of each believer.

I pray for the elders at Hohenwald, some of them I know from a long time ago. Some of them and I have gone to Turney Center to teach on many occassions. They all know what the truth of the church is.....maybe they just need to be reminded of that. And all of the people need to get back to work and win their neighbors.

Who is willing to step up and see that this is done?

Brother Stanley Adams wrote on Feb.5 on the Lewis County church forum, that the Churches of Lewis County should bring in outside help as an aid to help resolve the Hohenwald Church apostasy dilema. It was a very sincere letter from a dedicated and sound christian but when renegade elders choose to follow error, there seems to be very little that can be done except a county-wide disfellowship when they choose to avoid any sincere meeting.

Seemingly some congregations in the county choose to fellowship them due to social, economic or political connections. Be careful, your back door may be ajar just enough for the same apostasy to creep in your church.

There seems to be an ego problem among the leaders and temporary preacher of the Hohenwald Church of Christ. The preacher, as predicted, is visiting out of state frequently, possibly ready to retreat rather than remain and shoulder some of the discord blame.

This fellowship with the Centerville Church of Christ in light of the spiritual decline of the Hohenwald Church makes one wonder if the Centerville Church is falling for the "big lie". If anyone knows anything about this, please respond.

During a recent absence of the preacher of the Hohenwald church, one elder stated that what was once an attendance of over 300, reduced to less than 200 (by the self serving elders apostasy) will be over 300 by the end of 2004 and 500 by the end of 2005. Yep this is the proposed plan commercialized by the Purpose driven movement and can work if emphasis is moved from spiritual growth to numerical growth.

We'll see, mr. elder, if your predictions come true or as many times happens, the congregation continues to decline in numbers and spirituality. It sure would be great to hear one or more of them proclaim "by the end of 2004 all of us who have caused this digression will have resigned and you all can have your once stolen church returned". This Church once occupied a place of honor in the small town of Hohenwald.

Regretfully, pride will probably prevail and numbers will continue to be the ultimat goal rather than the salvation of countless sincere, truth seeking folk.

A small retreat is now present but as soon as the new seasoned, change preacher arrives, sheep fall asleep again, the "shepherds" will harvest the wool and resurface for an unmerciful and deplorable spiritual slaughter. This is not a predicition, it is part of the purpose driven plan.

Please elaborate on these following terms and statements that you used: Bunk? Hogwash? Church is a service organization? Do you mean like the Civic club, chamber of commerce, etc.? Only Christ is worthy of honor? I personally honor my mother and father. You are saying that is wrong? You are saying the bible doesn't teach me to honor my mother and father? You are saying Church has nothing to do with sin, salvation, worship, baptism, etc.? Come on now, you can do better than that.

You are among a large group trying, as best they can, to undermine and bring down the Church of Christ to the level of a denomination. Yes, the Bible teaches the withdrawal of fellowship from individuals and entire churches. The group that you represent wants to fellowship all who believes there is a god.

Without getting into a long discourse I would like to suggest to you that you follow the scripture leads on this site, read the scriptures for yourself, disregard the comments if you like, and taking the bible as your only guide, see what you come up with regarding the above issues. That isn't too much to ask is it? Remember, opinion doesn't count, neither yours nor mine. Be careful about what you contend the Bible does or does not say or teach.

I think that elders and numbers have a problem. As I remember things before I crashed out the effort was to meet the 350 goal and I think we got pretty close. So let's get honest and say that 150 have been DRIVEN out and many more FOR CAUSE. The less than 200, If reports are correct, consists of a majority DISCORDED but too stubborn to be driven out. Others claim "I was just following orders"and hope that one of the cruelest blows of church history will just "slip the minds" of people already treading water with the two misleaders. My best guess is that there is one elder and one deacon who has been dissociated by PK mass meetings and other relationships thicker than the blood of Christ. The claimed objective of the Lynn Andersons and Shellys is to create SCHIZOPHRENIA before you can pull the Judas Goat trick. But, the fact seems to be that self-induced dissociation can happen if you don't know how to cast out demons in the name of Jesus. The others are hoping to weather the storm. But their time has lapsed with the flock.
