The week leading up to Easter, the United Methodist Church in Fayetteville TN had a different speaker each day at 12 noon present a short lesson. Jim Black, minister of the Washington St Church of Christ was the featured speaker on Thursday April 9. This was a service that included singing with instrumental music. When the scehduled song leader didn't show, Daniel Elldridge, president of Riverside Christian Acadmey in Fayetteville and a member of the Riverside Church of Christ was asked to fill in. Elldridge led the singing for this service with the accompaniment of instrumenal music. Jim Black takes to the pulpit and jokes that that was probably the first time Daniel had ever led singing with instrumental music.

Could be

April 20 2009, 4:07 PM

I guess that could be too, particularly if the original poster was actually present for the occasion at the UM church? Perhaps they are looking to convert to UM? Seems they would have been present to engage in the activities going on there. I mean, what would be the point of going to something that one would presumably disagree with, unless just to "observe" and criticize?

On the other hand, if the original poster was not present, then they would have to be simply repeating something they heard (second-hand), which at this point (to the readers in this forum) would be third-hand information at best, which is often the seed of gossip. And we all know what the Word says about gossip. So, again...the point?

Shame, shame, shame.

April 20 2009, 10:35 PM

Jesus would have gone to their temple during Passover and just tore the place apart: this is the only physical violence of Jesus as he cast down the rituals of Passover. While the clergy was plotting to offer Jesus as a sacrificial lamb there would been tens of thousands of Easter attenders who when the trumpet was blown slashed the throats of the "pretend" Jesus.

Jesus put an end to Passover! He deliberately planned to mount His best assault on the whole "Jew's" system. Tens or hundreds of thousands pilgrims would be on hand to CONFESS that Jesus came to built the true temple which was spiritual. At the same time rivers of blood would flow, the smell of urine and dung and blood and burning flesh which was ALL VANITY. The people would become Christians and go back into the whole world and spread the word that Jesus was ALIVE and Easter or Ishtar had been DEFEATED as the mother goddess of the effeminate mother goddess worshipers as "lusted after fruits" serving as speakers (on and on and on), singers and instrument players John called SORCERERS. That was a mark that the spiritual CANDLES had been removed once and for all times.

If he attended "Ishtar services" at all he should not pretend to be a Rabbi in a Church of Christ where we remember the death of Christ without music or a "sun rise" idol service EACH week. He may have been seeking acceptance or "respectability" in the community or he may have fallen for the lie that we have to be LIKE the world to WIN the world.

And the Jews passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, John 2:13
And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves,
......and the changers of money sitting: John 2:14
And when he had made a scourge of small cords,
......he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen;
......and poured out the changers money, and overthrew the tables; John 2:15

The ROPE is the same PSALLO rope the authorities used to drive as MARKED people who hung around the animal slaughter sacrifices and selling. The cast out is how Jesus "cast out the musical minstrels like dung."

......Ekballo (g1544 (g1544) ek-bal'-lo; from 1537 and 906; to eject (lit. or fig.): - bring forth, cast (forth, out), drive (out), expel, leave, pluck (pull, take, thrust) out, put forth (out), send away (forth, out).

......And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. Luke 8:52
......And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. Luke 8:53

......And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. Luke 8:54

And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence;
......make not my Fathers house an house of merchandise. John 2:16
And his disciples remembered that it was written,
......The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. John 2:17
Then answered the Jews and said unto him,
......What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? John 2:18
Jesus answered and said unto them,
......Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. John 2:19

Not there but still accurate?

May 3 2009, 3:13 PM

Of the four accounts of the crucifixion, only one of the wrieters was definitely there - John - the rest relied on others who were there to tell the story. We have four different variations of what Pilate's sign on the cross read.

The point? The Gospels were inspired, yet still have 4 variations of what could only have been written in one way.

Anonymous was not present at the event they gossiped about, Anonymous is not inspired, and so the accuracy is highly suspect.

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened At the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
