When I got access to some early episodes on tape, I was astonished by the fact, that some of the very first ones had fully fleshed orchestral scores with beautiful sound, while later episodes sounded rather tinny, even if masters like Bernard Herrmann scored the show. What do you think about it?

The first season had a more cinematic feel than later seasons. Partly due to Charles Marquis Warren. When Roy Huggins took over as executive producer the show had more of a studio feel in places.
