Most Virginian episodes have been filmed at the Universal television backlot. I never really got a kind of map which would have shown the complete area. Does anybody know something about the Universal western streets? Do they still exist?
Yes the Medicine Bow backlot still exists (it was also used in Alias Smith and Jones as Porterville). I visited the set on the Universal tour in 1977 and 1979. Shiloh Ranch was demolished in the mid seventies to make way for the Universal Studio tour entrance!
