I missed couple of last episodes, and now Betsy is gone and she has been replaced by that other girl - could someone tell how did they explain Betsy leaving the show? Please donīt tell me that they didnīt explain it anyhow, like in Bonanza after Dan Blocker died... he was just gone like he wouldnīt ever had been there! =/

Betsy gets married in the show and leaves Shiloh.
Incidentally it coincided with her marriage in real-life.
By the way Dan Blocker's (Hoss) death was mentioned in a roundabout way by Little Joe in a moving scene in Bonanza.

About Bonanza; yes, they referred to Hossī death in "Forever" and the scene between ML and LG was really touching; even though Joe was supposed to cry his wifeīs death, it felt like he was crying for Dan Blockerīs... sorry, this is The Virginianīs message board. =)

Last week in NZ we got the second episode about Betsy and Eddie Tye. I presume this is the young man she marries. I wonder how many more eps include Betsy and Eddie. It will be sad to see Betsy leave. Dale.

Hi Dale. Betsy doesn't marry Eddie Tye and that is the last episode he is in. She gets married in the episode The Awakening from year 4 and Glenn Corbett plays her husband to be. Kate

Thanks for explaining what happened to Betsy, Kate. So she will be around for quite a while yet as we are nearly through Season 2 here. I am glad she stayed until well into Season 4, I like Betsy. Dale.
