I for one would love to see James Drury and yourself write a book together.
I am sure that "Virginian" fans and those who know of James Drury in other roles as an accomplished actor would agree with me?
Come on you guys I know your not shy lets just show James D how much we wish him to do this and that we would love to see this joint effort in print and in my case if James could do an audio described version - Bliss, sheer bliss!!
Uh oh, that's not good, Janette! Only one response. But for the two of you, Paul and you, I just spoke again with James last night and told him of New York's interest in my book with Clint Walker and a possible continuing series. I hope this will pique Jim's interest and he will make a decision soon, as I really think we could write a great book together.
So sad that we didn’t get more people to comment on this subject.
I could have pretended to be some anonymous person and signed more - but that would be a lie and do no good.
James would be absolutely brilliant if he joined forces with yourself Kirby and I really do mean that. Even if you got him to understand that he is very much appreciated and we do wish that he could share some of his great knowledge with you in writing a book.
Now, I know I’m biased and would love for him not only to write with you but to read the book onto audio like he did before. What a talented man he is, accomplished actor, superb reader and if we could persuade him…… Talented writer???
Keeping fingers and toes crossed that you can sweet talk James into writing with you Kirby!

I think its a great idea. I would defintely buy that book if it was co-written by the Virginian himself. I just ordered the audio tape of Dansing Star and it should arrive in 2 weeks at my local book store. I can't wait to here James Drury's voice reading a western.
hello, just looked in on this site. I think that it would be brilliant if JD andKJ wrote a book of the 'new' virginian say the virginian had his own
ranch in later years, and what happend next. that would really be an excellent film.
I would be happy to see a book co-written by James Drury. I couldn't purchase it now anyway, I live overseas and the cost of shipping it would be too expensive.
