Cimarron Strip: CBS' answerOctober 27 2002 at 2:34 PM | Luke (no login) |
| CBS decided to launch its own 90 minute western (answer to "The Virginian")in the autumn of 1967 with Stuart Whitman starring as Marshal Jim Crown. Action-packed and violent.

Randy Boone, formerly of "The Virginian," was
also a star in this series. |

Yes I recall watching that on BBC1 (or attempting to watch it). I remember thinking it was dull. All I can recall is a train. It wasn't a success. |

I'm thinking of Iron Horse with Dale Robertson. That had a train! I don't know if Cimmaron Strip made it to UK TV. |

Iron Horse came out probably in answer to The Wild Wild West TV series' locomotive and caboose...
The Wanderer.

Cimarron Strip had an episode entitled "The Blue Mule
Train," guest-starring Broderick Crawford and Don "Red"
Barry. Does this ring a familiar tune? |
