happy birthday on the l8th april to james drury. i watched the series as a young child growing up in ireland and i am delighted to see that the series is being repeated each day on irish tv. i try and tune in as much as i can.

the channel is tg4 and its showing from l.l0pm til 2.40pm monday to friday.

so happy birthday to the virginian. its hard not to think of you exactly the same now as you were in the series so many years ago.

Hi Miriam,
I'm also enjoying the re-run of the series every day on TG4 and look forward to it daily. It was, and still is, an excellent series that has never been topped since those halcyon days of the 60's/70's with superb acting from all cast members.
It looks like we're the lucky ones here in Ireland who are privileged to be able to watch once again.

I agree, it is great to hear "The Virginian" tune once again. It kind of transports you instantly back to memorable days as a teenager.

It's great having The Virginian on five days a week (thank you TG4), I look forward to it every day and turn up the sound while the theme music plays :) For some reason TG4 ran the first three seasons and then went back to the start again we are now three episodes into Season 8...yesterday we had "A Flash Of Darkness" where The Virginian is thrown from his horse and is blind for the rest of the episode. James Drury was wonderful in this episode...I've watched it three times since it aired yesterday :)
