Hi ya'll I'm new to the site my name is Sherry from Tennessee, and I am seriously convinced that I'm in love with the handsome Trampas and Virginian. I have watched The Virginian ever since I was keen high to a grass hopper sitting on my dad's lap watching the Shiloh men which a 9 or 10 year old child wouldn't think of them as handsome but at 33 they sure are now. I haven't been able to watch lately because I have no satellite or cable so I have missed it terriablely. I'm hoping NBC will put this great show out on DVD soon. NBC hads put every other old western on DVD but not The Virginian I think it's long over due. I have voted on tvshowondvd and signed the petition.
I'm just curious about the Drury and McClure relationship/friendship they had great chemsitry on screen as Trampas and The Virginain, I was wondering does anyone know what there friendship was like off-screen? I read that James & Doug went to high school together and were smoking and drinking buddy's. James hadsn't said much about working with Doug McClure just wondering what he thought of him. Sadly Doug is gone but surely theres a couple interviews with Doug that are around. Tane McClure and Chris Drury share Trampasflims so I'm glad she is keeping her father's character name alive.
