This morning May 4 2004 (HEY I found a 42) I watched Judge Joe Brown on TV (I used to think he was good) when this young Black Man was accused of carrying a Security Towel. Judge Brown told him he was insecure and had mental problems and needed psychiatric help because he carried a Security Towel. He kept stressing Security Towel. When the case was over he commented "He took his Security Towel." and laughed. Judge Joe Brown gave the impressionm on Fox TV that any adult who carried a Security Towel had mental problems and should seek Psychiatric help. I feel that he insulted me, and all other Galactic Philosophers, Hitchhikers, Douglas Adams fans, Researchers For The Guide, and all other Towelers. I was insulted and feel that all Towelers including Galactic Hitchhikers, and millions of Douglas Adams fans who observed Towel Day and carry Towels out of respect for him were insulted by Judge Joe Brown over Fox TV and when he would not respect the rights of a young man to carry a Towel without saying he needed Mental Help because of it. He refused others their rights to carry a Towel if they wanted to. I have a right to carry a Towel.

I've substituted a towel for a large hooded sweatshirt. In a addition to the usual uses of the towel you can...

1. Use it as a tent when you're at a Glorbulus concert and don't want to sell your spleen
2. Get it wet and freeze it, and voila! You have a shovel. Perfect for busting out of high security mining prisons in Kressel
3. Pull out the drawstring and suffocate yourself when you get caught escaping from high security mining prisons in Kressel
4. If it's unzippable, you can leap from flying buildings and hang glide to the ground.
5. Keep stuff in the pocket.
6. They're also er...good for wearing.

Timeloyd, I know what you mean about Judge Brown...he can be very snippy with people and I think rather unfair at times.
Hey, it is still a free country...we can carry towels around for whatever reason...right?

Some strange people out there think's it weird to carry around a towel. You can always wrap it around your head like a turban.

Yep, I do that on a daily basis.
You can also wrap your cat up in a towel when you need to have complete control over it...you know, like when you are giving it medicine or something.
The towel comes in very handy to wrap your bloody arms and hands up when the cat gets loose for a moment and lets you know who is really in control.
Sigh...my vet swears by the towel thingy but I have never had much luck with it...well, the cleaning up the bloody arms works ok, but not the wrapping of the cat part....lol.

I think that we all carry a "Security Towel" of sorts. We find security with the love and trust of our friends and family.
It seems all things begin and end with LOVE.
