I went to the Food Store today and found some Strawberry Butter in the dairy section and near by was Cheese Cake Cream Cheese*. Remembering the Cream Cheese crust for the Scrumdelicious Berry Pie and finding great Strawberries i made a
DELIGHTFULLY HOOPY STRAWBERRY PIE.
PUT A 18" BY 20" ( " MEANS INCH) SHEET OF ALUMINUM FOIL SMOOTH SHINY SIDE UP ON COUNTER OR TABLE. WE WILL GET BACK TO IT LATER. Make sure it does not get away.
A MAKING THE CRUST WE GO ~=o
PUT 6 oz. STRAWBERRY BUTTER, 8 oz.CHEESE CAKE CRERM CHEESE AND A SMALL CONTAINER OF WATER FOR ICE WATER IN FREEZER AOUT HALF HOUR OR SO BEORE STARTING YOU WANT THEM REAL COLD BUT NOT FROZEN.
KEEP A HALF DOZEN BUTTER KNIVES IN THE FREEZER NEXT TO THE ICE CUBES
( YOU WILL USE THEM WITH THIS RECEPIE). TO KEEP THEM COLD FOR SPREADING AND MIXING STUFF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET WARM OR STICK.
IN A LARGE BOWL PUT 4 CUPS OF FLOUR but don't get boweled over. ADD A DASH OF SALT AND 1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER. ADD 1/2 TEASPOON MORE wondering if this is a half baked idea and how it will turn out when it becomes well baked.
REMOVE 6 OZ. CONTAINER COLD STRAWBERRY BUTTER FROM FREEZER. SHOULD BE REAL COLD BUT NOT FROZEN. TAKEING A COLD BUTTER KNIFE SHAVE BITS OF BUTTER OFF AND PUT ON EDGE ALL ARROUND EDGE OF BOWL. I SCRAPE IT OFF KNIFE THIS WAY. THEN USEING ANOTHER COLK KNIFE STIRRING CLOCKWISE MIX IT INTO THE FLOUR UNTIL ALL MIXED UPTOGETHER. Your Pun here.
REMOVE FROM FREEZER THE 8 OZ. CONTAINER OF CHEESE CAKE CREAM CHEESE. Yes that is what it tastes like. AND USEING A COLD BUTTER KNIFE FROM FREEZER SHAVING LIKE YOU DID THE BUTTER ADD IT TO THE FLOUR BUTTER MIXTURE.
MIX CLOCKWISE TO ADD POSITIVE HEALING ENERGY TO IT WHILE SINGING A HAPPY SONG.
HMM.... HUMMING WILL DO IF YOU CAN'T REMEMBER THE WORDS..
NOW LETS HAVE FUN. WASH HANDS WITH ANTIBACTERIAL DISH SOAP AND DRY THEM.
I sometimes dry my hands after washing them on the cloth on behind my pants knees. I got the idea from John Wayne in McLintock when he wiped dust from his shoes on back of pants cuff waiting.... LET'S HAVE FUN NOW THAT YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN. REACH INTO THE FLOUR MIXTURE AND MIX IT UP WITH YOUR FINGERS AND FINGER TIPS UNTIL IT IS CRUMBY. I MEAN LOOKS LIKE CRUMBS. I aot trying to critisize it. IF ANY DOUGH IS STICKING TO YOUR FINGERS IT CAN BE REMOVED WITH A COLD BUTTER KNIFE FROM THE FREEZER. Too bad you can"t spend this kind of dough.
ADD 2 TABLESPOONS COLD ICE WATER NOT ICE CUBES FROM THE FREEZER AND USEING COLD BUTTER KNIFE FROM FREEZER STIR THE ICE WATER INTO THE MIXTURE. SHAPE IT INTO A BALL.
PUT THE ALUMINUM FOIL YOU HAVE SITTING ARROUND watching you and wondering what it is for OVER THE BOWL.MOVE SO BOWL IS CENTERED AND PULL EDGES TO BOWL. TURN BOWL OVER FAST. LOOK AT DOUGH . BRINGING ENDS OF FOIL TOGETHER FINISH SHAPING DOUGH INTO A BALL. FOLD FOIL UP AND PUT IN REFRIGERATOR and let the dough chill out. FORGET FOR A LITTLE WHILE. REMEMBER YOU WANT IT REAL COLD NOT FROZEN ~ ESPECIALLY IF YOU PUT IT IN FREEEZER SO IT CAN BE MOVED TO REFRIGERATOR.
THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE REST OF THE INGREDIENTS, AND IF YOU ARE MISSING ANYTHING YOU CAN STILL MAKE IT TO THE FOOD STORE. STRAWBERRY PIE FILLING.
IN A LARGE BOWL STIRRING CLOCKWISE TO STIR IN POSITIVE ENERGY MIX UP TOGETHER but don"t get too confused
DECAPITATE 4 CUPS OF STRAWBERRYS AND THEN .... AH I MEAN REMOVE THE GREEN CAPS AT THEIR TOP. I SQUEEZE AND TWIST THEM. DISCARD CAPS OR USE IN SALAD.
NOW SLICE EACH STRAWBERRY IN HALF AND PUT THEM ALL IN A MIXING BOWL.
SPRINKLE 1/4 CUP FLOUR AMONG THEM AS YOU ADD THE STRAWBERRYS TO THE BOWL.
TURNING THE STRAWBERRIES WITH COLD BUTTER KNIFE ADD 1 CUP FINE BAKERS SUGAR.
STIR INTO IT 1 TSP. LEMON JUICE commerating the tartness of life that we overcome with belief in it's beauty like Strawbwerrys. Consider the Strawberry ....
SPREAD INTO IT 2 TBSP. BUTTER. MIX EVERYTHING TOGETHER YAA Let's get together ya ya ya ..
While singing a happy song SET bowl with it IN THE REFRIGERATOR ABIT TO MEDITATE AND BLEND TOGETHER THEIR IDEAS ON THE MEANING OF BEING A STRAWBERRY.
PUT 1 OR 2 CAPS FROM PEANUT OIL CONTAINER OF PEANUT OIL INTO CRUST IN PIE PAN. RUB ALL OVER SIDES AND BOTTOM UNTIL EVENLY COATED.
REMOVE CRUST BALL FROM REFRGERATOR opening like a Christmas present. PUT IN PIE PAN AND WALK ALONG SIDES AND ACROSS BOTTOM
MAKING A FLIP CRUST. I HAD PUT CRUST IN OILED ROUND STREIGHT SIDE PIE PAN (SOMETIMES CALLED ROUND CAKE PANT THOUGH I LIKE RECTSANGULAR CAKES) I USE FOR UFO PIZZA PIE PAN, WHEN I REALISED I HAD PUT IT IN THE WRONG PAN I GOT AN IDEA. I PUT REST OF CRUST IN OLIED REGULAR PIE PAN. AFTER PUTTING FILLING IN THE REGUAR PIE PAN WITH STRAWBERRY PIE FILLING CAREFULLY FLIP CAKE PIE PAN OVER SO DOUGH FALLS OUT ONTO TOP OF THE PIE. USING BACK OF SPOON AND FINGERS SHAPE TILL PIE IS WELL COVERED. When I did it the center did not fall out and had to remove and put on it. Next time wil put pan in freezer to see if works better.
IF MAKING REGULAR TOP CRUST ~ ROLL OUT OTHER HALF OF CRUST ON FOIL TILL 1 INCH BEYOND THE EDGE OF PAN. CUT INTO 2 INCH STRIPS.
POUR STRAWBERRY MIXTURE INTO PIE PAN SHELL. CUT AND LIFT CRUST PUTTING IT OVER PIE LIKE JIGSAW PUZZLE CREASING THE EDGES CLOSED.
PUT IN REFRIGERATOR AND LEAVE ABOUT AN HOUR OR SO TO COOL DOWN.
PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES.
IN A SMALL PAN MELT 1/2 CUP BUTTER UNTIL LIQUIDY. LET SET ON TOP OF STOVE TILL NEEDED.
REMOVE PIE FROM REFRIGERATOR AND PUT IN OVEN AND BAKE PIE 30 MINUTES.
REMOVE PARIALLY AND USEING YOUR BUTTER BRUSH (I use a Paint Brush that I use only for spreading Butter on Pies. It is getting to look like a hairdo Ahh Huuh) BRUSH THE BUTTER ARROUND EDGES AND ALL OVER CRUST TO GIVE IT A GOLDEN COLOR AND PREVENT BURNING. LEAVE IN ABOUT 12 MINUTES LONGER OR TILL CRUST IS GOLDEN.
SHUT OFF OVEN, REMOVE PIE and let get COOL. AAhh Huuh.
PUT IN REFRIGERATOR UNTIL NEEDED AND SERVE COOL. SHARE AND ENJOY. :^{)

* In Case You Can't Find It it is Country Crock Strawberry Butter, and Kraft Philadelphia Cheese Cake Cream Cheese. They are both in small round tubs. This is put here to help duplicate the crust I made which was amazingly hoopy.
