I do not watch South Park much but the vephesode with ther Geneticly altered Towel ~ Towelie was very interesting.
The kids of South Park, Colorado were at a Soft Ball game when a towel walked up to them and said to Remember to use a towel to get rid of sweat. It says it's name is Towlie and asks if they want to get high. They say NO AND WALK AWAY.
They get an Omega Game Sphere that they want to play all weekend. Towelie shows up and tells them they should use a Towel and asks if they want to get high. They say No and Towlie then leaves.
While they are in school the Omega Game Sphere is stolen and a note left to say to bring Towelie as a trade for it. A Military man suggests that the kids may communicate with Towlie telepatically.
They talk Towelie into coming with them but the trade falls through and the military start destroying all towels within a 1000 mile radius to get rid of Towelie though a Sargent says he destroyed them in a 100 mile radius.. All towels are machine gunned and destroyed on clothes lines, in homes on towel racks and even a guy taking a shower after it was removed leaving him naked. All to destroy Towelie.
Towlie and the kids however are on their way to the place Towlie ran away from Tynocorp Labs to try to locate the game cube. Towlie is giving directions though his memory seems to be short. He says he remembers better when he is high. They reach Tynocorp where they are informed Towlie is RG4000 and had a microchip implanted in it to give it a memory. Possibly why it has limited memory(my comment). The people at Tynocorp tell the kids Towelie was created to be interactive. It can play chess and be absorbent at the same time.
All the kids care about is the Omega Game Sphere which they are told the military have so they invade the military base. They are captured ? and are told the military was trying to recreate Towelie without success. They needed Towelie's TNA. The kids are told that Tynocorp is made up of Aliens who want to use an army of Towelies which they use to spy on people, AND WILL HAVE the Towelies dry people so well after showers they will dry themselves to death thus enabling the Aliens at Tynocorp to take over The Earth.
Towlie says, "Having a towel in your Duffel is good luck."
They return to Tynacore and find the Omega Game Sphere as an Evil Towel attacks Towlie. There is a fight between them and evil Towelie ends up in a vat of Red hot Lava. The Aliens ARE DESTROYED, and the kids save the Omega Game Sphere.
The kids return home with their Omega Game Sphere and teach Towlie how to play it. A comment is made about how stupid a charecter Towlie is, and Towlie agrees. I kinda liked Towlie and look forward to meeting him again in anoither episode. Wonder why the military let him go withoiut getting his TNA. An open end maybe to a future ephisode.
