What books are you reading now?

I just finished "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" by Patrica Rushford. It's the first book of three in a series. It was a likable quick read, so I think I will look for the other two in the series.

I have just started to read "Contents Under Pressure" (first of nine in series) by Edna Buchanan..so far so good. It may not be as 'light hearted' as I normaly read. Britt Montero is a newspaper crime reporter in Miami, Florida.

Both authors are new to me.

Oh by the way, a couple of months ago, I finished a four book series by Lorena McCourtney that was delightful! The main charactor is Ivy Malone a "super spunky senior sleuth".

I just bought Where's Waldo for Dummies and a friend told me I could find him faster if I read the the book from the end. So far, no luck. I wish he would have told me which end, because I've been turning the book around all day apparently for nothing!

I haven't had much time to read this summer but I am starting a pile of books that will carry me through the winter.

Let's see...I have "Silverlock" by John Myers Myers. It is a fantasy novel filled with other characters from literature. A friend that read it said part of the fun is to see how many characters you can identify and singing the songs from the story. I have no idea if I will like it but it sounds like a fun book.
"Pillar of the Sky" by Cecelia Holland. That is a novel of Stonehenge. A fictional account of the people that built it and their inspiration for doing so.
"Uri Geller"...Magician or Mystic by Jonathan Margolis. I think Mr. Margolis starts out as a non-believer in Uri's powers but somehow is convinced by the end of the book that he is authentic. I am not sure I will like this book but I have always been kind of curious about Uri Geller so it's worth a try.
And lastly...Sharon Shinn's "Angel Seeker". I will have to let you know more about this book later. It is on my nightstand just waiting on me to read it...lol. I know it's a fantasy story about angels but that's about all I know. From the same friend that gave me the "Silverlock" book.

LOL Universe...don't let Waldo sneak up behind you!

It's okay as long as he isn't fidgety and doing all those hand/foot signal things.

Who knew that picking up discarded paper off the bathroom floor could lead to arrest...giggle...

Actually, I hope he gets off.

Wait, that didn't come out right. And speaking of coming out, right? ... I mean why doesn't he just take this opportunity to switch parties? The GOP is in the can with Bush, which makes me wonder if the Senator would have gotten in trouble in a gender neutral facility, but I digress... As I way stating, he should just go democrat and run for President. It's a hard choice between a woman, a Black man, and a homosexual. Maybe it would split the vote enough so someone 1/2 normal who would then win the Democratic nomination for a change.

I mean quit stalling around Senator. Take a stance and come out of the water closet!
