An old bed time story....

We had beamed down to a lovely green planet for some R&R and a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine, we lay down for the night and went to sleep.

Some hours later, Spock awoke and nudged the captain. "Captain, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

Kirk replied, "I see millions and millions of stars. What does that tell you, Mr Spock?"

Spock pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all-powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you. Captain?"

Kirk was silent for a minute, then spoke. "Spock, it tells me that somebody has stolen our tent!"

...sigh...you just can't take those two guys anywhere...

23rd Century Tents

September 22 2007, 3:10 PM

Well, of course, tents had to be made of 'special' material that would endure environments with different atmospheric conditions than those on present day Earth. Perhaps a leather-like material that wasn't leather as we know it, but a leather with the strength and durability that we can only imagine. Very costly to make.

Or, of course, it could be made of French goat hide......a material that only looks like it's leather, called "Fleather".
That's strong stuff.

We are boldly going forward because we can't find reverse...
