Sylvia, the psychic fascinates AND scares me. The only time I watch the Montel show is when she in on there. If I were brave enough, I would like to question her. But, what if she told me something I didn't want to know? And, it came true? And, the most important reason of all...Phone reading with Sylvia - $750 for approximately 20-30 minutes. (fee is $750 in person) They (she and her son) do most of their readings by phone, counseling people all over the world.

Is she for real or is she a phony? Either way, she is a very wealthy woman.

I am not that impressed with her.

I have seen her do a lot of guess work in the middle of some of those readings. She also seems to have a lot of answers when the facts can't be checked out. I have to laugh when someone asks her if they have a spirit guide or angel and she says, "yes, it's a little girl and her name is Mandy". Well, come on...I can do that and who could ever say I am wrong? In fact, I'd love to do that for $750.00 for thirty minutes of guess work...lol.

I believe that there are people who are psychic but I am not that sure she is one of them.
I have read a couple of her books and that pretty much clinched it for me. I thought she was very silly and just plain wrong with a lot of her observations and opinions that she calls "truth".

Do you believe that she actually writes all those books with her name on them?
I don't see how. She must have at least twenty books a year, if not more...

i did not know sylvia the psychic untill right now, and just SEEING HER scares the hell out of me. she look like a weird neighbour, padding little childs heads and wearnig a goan the whole day, having these tiny little white doggies and baking these ugly cookies noone likes...

My wife sees ghosts all the time. I could if too, but why waste my time on a bunch of losers who haven't got the common sense to go into the light?

As far as Sylvia goes, I'll bet she is intuitive as mush as she is ‘opportunitive.’ That means I think she can read people well enough to hook them and real them in. No one seems to ask her any of the hard questions and they should. After all, if you claim the dead person you want to hear from instantly appears before her and she communicates with them, no personal question should be too hard to answer. For hundreds of dollars an hour, you bet I would test the person out before I place my trust and money in them.

Saying things like there are going to be storms... Gee, do ya think? We're going to start bringing the troops home, well sure 5,000 for X-mas because it is good PR and Bush over-populated the forces earlier in the year. That's not troop withdrawal, that political maneuvering.

My wife and I do have a friend who works as a psychic. She does private counseling and I have seen here for her services on a couple of occasions for guess what, hiring employees. She has an amazing talent for reading people. I showed her a picture of this one person I was considering hiring and asked her what his past job was. She looked at the photo, laughed and immediately stated, "He was a Cop." She was correct. I even asked her if he was an upper ranking officer or a street cop and she got that right, too. I tested her on a lot of family members and I'd say she was right about 70-80% of the time. But get this, as far as predicting the future either her timing was horribly off or she was just completely wrong.

As far as reading people go, I’m not sure if it is intuition or if phrenology has something to do with it. Phrenology is a cult-like pseudo-science (name calling by real scientist, I suppose) that tries to explain the traits of people based on facial features.

I, too, have had a couple of psychic experiences that turned out to be very real. They fascinated and scared me. I believe they exist, but I also believe that about 95 % of those proclaiming to be psychic are phonies. It's kind of like telling a child not to touch fire because they will get burned. Some, perhaps only the blonde ones, touch the fire anyway. I watch from afar now. Some things we are beter off not knowing about.
