Read Any Good Books?

What's everybody reading this winter?
I just picked up a couple of books by Richard Matheson. I haven't read any of his books before but I have seen several movies that were inspired by his writing. Somewhere In Time, What Dreams May Come and Stir Of Echos, are three that were the most popular.
I am reading Earthbound, a ghost story(of course!) and What Dreams May Come. I love that movie and Robin Williams is one of my favorite actors.

I also picked up P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern. Several people have told me that I would like her books so I am trying this one out first.

Anybody else reading anything good?

Well you know me...lol...mostly mystery around here. I just finished "S is for Silence" by Sue Grafton (Alphabet Series) . I want to go to the library and check out her latest book, "T is For Trespass".

I just ordered two books by Diane Mott Davidson, "Double Shot" and "Dark Torte". They are from her Goldy Bear series. (Catering - with Recipes mysteries)

I not sure if I mentioned it or not, but recently I read "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. Not a mystery, but very good, indeed.

I have not read anything by Cecelia Ahern or Richard Matheson. Sounds good.

The Secret Life Of Bees

I have thought about reading that book but haven't picked it up yet.
Not sure if I will like it.

I am not in the mood for a mystery...life seems mysterious enough around here...lol.

The Richard Matheson books are very good. You might want to skip Earthbound...I didn't read the whole cover and at the bottom of the page it qualifies it as an erotic ghost story...lol.
Oh well, I guess if one must have a ghost hanging around it might as well be a sexy one...right?

What Dreams May Come is very good. I haven't read the Cecelia Ahern book yet.
It stormed last night so I was up with the dog most of the night...she freaks out over thunder.....it's storming tonight too so I might get to the rest of the book stash by morning...lol.

Oh yeah, hope it's warming up around there. It was 64 here yesterday...very freaky weather but it will be cold again by the weekend. I think they said back down to 16 degrees by Sat.

We are going to be in the low 70's by the weekend, or so say the weatherman. I hope he is correct. I'm tired of being cold.

The boss went to the mountains on Monday to spend the day with friends. He got snowed in...the road home down the mountain was closed over night, or so he says. He knew I would not be happy with him, and I wasn't..lol..I do not like to be the only responsible adult in the house.

I may forgive him by Valentine's Day.

Well..............

Only if he buys you lots of chocolate...lol.

I have the opposite problem...I can't get my other half to get out of the house...lol.
It's that time of year when it's good just to sit by the fire and watch it snow...sigh...

Yesterday we had floods and the creek was way out of control.
Today it is realy cold and the temperature is falling down to 5 degrees over the weekend.

I think I need to move to a state that can at least make up it's mind about the climate and stick to it...lol.
