No, I didn't see that movie. I was afraid too. Did you ever see The Stepford Wives? There were two movies made from the book. (I never read the book but I always said I would.)The first movie was made in 1975 and the other in 2004. I recommend them both..lol..

the stepford wifes

well, i love robots and i love beautiful girls. so whats not to love in stepford?
i was quite dissapointed by the remake - even i realy DO believe that miss kidman IS a robot and i really like matthew broderick, there was something missing. a dark sacrastic ironic.... lets call it evil thing in the whole movie.
but i did not know, there is a novel, too!
speaking of cute/hot robots. will you go and see wall-E?
Well so the F world is French . but hey, it's an F word lol.
I liked body snatchers too. Taste evolve and today it's SAW 1 to 4, though the acting could have been better, the Hostel concept wasn't bad at all.
There's a few others I'm curious about that I haven't seen yet. There now, is that a reason to not trust me? muhuhahahahahaha (hollywood quality reverberation added here) lol

I just did it to get you to come out of hiding and say hello.
Awwwww....the SAW movies.
I tried to watch them, I really, really, really tried but I just couldn't sit through them....lol.
The teenagers in the family still make fun of me over it.
The Body Snatchers was brilliant! Hands down, one of the best horror flicks of all time.
Do any of you remember House On Haunted Hill...the original one with Roddy McDowell(sp?) Vincent Price was in it also, I think....Pamela somebody...lol. Sorry, I can't remember her last name.
Now THAT was a scary movie.
My poor mom....she had to convince me every night for weeks that a ghost wasn't going to crawl into bed with me.
I didn't see that one, but I liked the newer one....

Another movie I have to say influenced my pure mind some was The Grudge....especially the first one. I started thinking that the movie had "potential" so to speak about 10 minutes into the movie and all the way to the end. but the scene that got me the most was when the woman goes in the elevator and as the floors pass by as she's going up you see the same kid on every floor, getting closer and closer to the elevator door, a small thing but it really helped define what The Grudge was.

grudge or yu-on?
July 2 2008, 4:33 PM
because of the counting. the grudge is yu-on 2 which is yu-on TV part 6 and the grudge yu-on (japanese) is... uh. go lost in the plot. anyway. see the japanese movie!
the same with the bodysnathcers. which remake? bodysnatchers? puppetmaster? the teenmovie thing? the nicole Kidman remake? the faculty?
sorry. getting nerdy.

Okay, which one of you killed the alien flower/monster thing?
You have my gratitude.
The Grudge was actually a pretty good movie. It did have some good suspense and an actual plot that you could follow.
If you ever have the inclination to watch an old movie, rent the original House On Haunted Hill....it really is much better than the remake. I have watched it many times over the years and it still has it's moments that make me clench my teeth....lol.
Sandmann, I guess it's true that everything old is new again.
You will find that more and more true as you get older.
I didn't see the Nicole Kidmann remake of the body snatchers...was it good?
Did you like her movie, The Others? I thought it was pretty good but I had it figured out fairly soon into the movie that she and the kids....well, never mind. If you haven't seen it you might still want to and I don't want to ruin it for you...lol.
Hope life is good for you.
I wonder if Blondie will adopt another monster/plant....

guess it was me

i'm pretty sure. no plant or flower can exist near me. i'm sort of a bad comic character. the weed killer. maybe, if i would be the comic book bad guy. i would leave a leaf behind....
no, i did not see the remake with mrs. kidman, but it sucks, everyione says and i do not doubt it... oliver hirschbiegel, "our man in hollywood" (besides uwe boll!!!!) will have messed it up for sure.
i know the others. alexandro amenabar is one of my favourite directors, even the others 's not been his best work. the great DP! and miss kidman is perfectly cold and... stiff. nice.

A Bad Guy?
July 7 2008, 12:27 AM
No way....you're not french!
Looks like the alien plant left us a hatchling!
The Others was a bit overdone is some ways but it had it's suspenceful moments...lol.
Nicole Kidman is not really a favorite of mine all though I think she is drop dead gorgeous.
I don't know what she saw in Tom Cruise...lol. I honestly think the guy is kind of twerpy.
I WAS WATCHNG ARCHIE'S WEIRD MYSTERIES AND TEY TOLD HOW JUGHEAD WON A CONTEST WHILE WATCHING A 12 HOUR MONSTER MOVIE MARATON. HE SAID THE ONLY THING THAT CAN GET HIM OUT OF THE ZONE IS CONTESTS AND FOOD.
HE WON THE CONTEST AND HIS PRIZE WAS A POTATO. HY IT'S FOOD ANYWAY SO HE ECIDED TO WATCH TH REST OF TE MARATONWITH IT. 2 COUCH POTATOES.
ONLY THE POTATO HE WON GREW TENTACLES THAT SLOWLY WRAPPED ARROND HIM AND THEN PRODUCED A CLONE THAT LOOKED N TALKED JUST LIKE HIM. JUHEAD THEN STARTED GIVIN POTATOES AWAY. THEN THE POTATOES WOULD WRAP AND SPREAD THEIR TENTACLES ALL OVER PEOPLE AND THEN THE POTOES WOULD BECOME REAL CLONES OF THEM WHILE THE PEOPLE WRE ZONED OUT LIKE COUCH POTAOES. ARCHIE CAUGHT ON AND THEY THREW POTATOES AT HIM TO TRY TO GET CLONES OF HIM THEREBY REPLACNG HIM WITH A POTATO CLONE.
