Starbucks wants us to choose..lol..

Customer: Waiter, is this supposed to be coffee or tea?

Waiter: What does it taste like?

Customer: It tastes like gasoline!

Waiter: Well, sir, that would be the coffee. The tea tastes like turpentine.

Gotta love it!

John and I went to Starbucks this evening.

It was good except for the fact that he kept complaining that it was eight dollars for two cups of coffee...lol.

I say that you can't take it with you so you might as well drink it up at SB'S....lol.
I mean. shoot...I had to wait a really long time to get a Starbuck's in podunk IN...lol.
Why not use it, I say...

Missing Friends

July 20 2008, 11:04 PM

That's sad.

I know, it's part of life and all that but it is a part that I could do without.

This summer has seemed very devoid of my old friends. I have made some very nice new friends but they aren't 'broken in' yet...lol. We'll have to see how they fit before I get too excited.

Well, let's see if I can explain about 'breaking in new friends'.

You just toss them in your shopping cart of life and roll them aroud the store for a few hours.

If they survive the trip and still look all shined up and new...then you have a new friend you can count on.

If they look all grumpy and put out about being tested a little bit, then you take them out of the cart, dust them off and send them home.

You know, true friendship is like true love....not for wimpy hearts that cant be tossed around a little bit.

Am I right, Blondie?

Ahhh now I get it....

July 22 2008, 6:40 AM

Then I can be your true friend, just don't put too much food in the cart with me though, I'm french after all, and I can cook, so I'd have a feast in that cart. After that, maybe I'd be the one doing the dusting off and sending you home, with an empty shopping cart of life. LOL.

Hmm shopping cart of life, does that prove that women have shopping in their genes? ROFLMAO....

*runs and hides behind his bullet proof shield...for now....* lol

shopping cart of life..lol..

That is so true..lol..a good analogy, little birdie!

I must admit that I like a curmudgeon or two in my cart..lol..the're like a illfitting pair of shoes...you love them and keep them because they are worth the pain.

MystikShadows, young man, You can run but you can't hide..now hand over that credit card and you won't get hurt!

(Login MystikShadows)

Get hurt huh?

July 22 2008, 12:57 PM

is that a promise? muhuhahahahaha!

Fear not, I can resist anything, except temptation LOL.

credit card, hmmm....to spend or not spend, that is the question. lol

Hey MystikShadows,
You had better not dust me off and send me home with an empty cart...I'll hold all the fine, french wine and M&MS hostage and you'll have to come to my party eventually.

Curmudgeons, Blondie? What are those exactly other than a pain in the foot?
Whatever they are, I am pretty sure my cart has been emptied of them but I have an abundance of high strung children that I will put in your cart if you like?

I can't believe that school starts in a couple of weeks.

Where did the summer go?

I think my shopping cart of life is getting emptier than I had hoped for...lol. Maybe I need to find some kids to borrow.

(Login MystikShadows)

Yeah school is starting in what 5 weeks? ...

July 26 2008, 7:43 AM

Maybe 6? Wow, where did the summer go indeed. I used to love school so much I'd get in trouble in the last trimester of school so I'd get to go to school in the summer.

And if you believe that I can also sell you the Brooklyn bridge in NY, real cheap...LOL

Funny cause I loved computers and learning about them back in the days I started programming, when I was 7 years old. Back then, I'd read every book the library and the school had on the subject, never had enough to read. I've loved that for 33 years now, you can do the math and guess my age LOL...but I dropped out of school, too boring, I eventually finished high school a year or two later and then went to college. I guess I needed a sabbatical from high school. LOL.

And well since I lost a year or two, I caught it up and did my 3 year college in programming in 36 weeks. So by the end of college, I was right on track with my life. lol

But I hear it wasn't just me, the 80s had that effect on people. LOL

(Login MystikShadows)

LOL....21 is good enough for me! ;)

July 27 2008, 5:42 PM

Old enough to know,
Too young to care.

I like that.

EDIT: Hmmm...40..errr 21 years old, programmer since I was 7...hmm...I guess that makes me...fasten your safety belt Blondie (and everyone that fears them), that makes me a French Software ENGINEER...muhuhahahahhaha!
