What's the key to a great Thanksgiving dinner?
The tur-KEY.

Why do turkeys go "gobble, gobble"?
Because they haven't learned good table manners.

What do turkeys like to eat on Thanksgiving?
Nothing, they're already stuffed.

Why did the turkey eat his meal so quickly?
Because he was a gobbler.

How do you make a turkey float?
Get two scoops of ice cream, add some rootbeer and a turkey.

What do you get when you cross a turkey with an octopus?
Lots of drumsticks for Thanksgiving dinner.

You know what?
I am seriously considering making lasagna for Thanksgiving. [linked image]

I think you just gotta have turkey on Thanksgiving, it's the law. wink.gif

However, a nice veggie lasagna would be great as a side dish. [linked image]

We will be alone unless we have a surprise or two show up. That has been known to happen before. [linked image]

We will fix the traditional dinner and may or may not have lots of left overs..lol.. [linked image]

Thanksgiving dinner

November 20 2008, 12:59 PM

Parents visited their newly married daughter, who was preparing her first thanksgiving dinner. They noticed the turkey thawing in the kitchen sink with a dish drainer inverted over the bird.

Her father asked why a drainer covered the turkey.

The daughter looked at her parents and said, "Mom, you always did it that way."

"Yes," her mother replied, "but you don't have a cat!" [linked image]

Oh Yes, kitties do make a difference in the way things are done. happy.gif

We had our turkey dinner last weekend. I am a free woman for Thanksgiving and I am looking forward to reading a good book.

Now Christmas, that's another story all together.

Hmmmm...I can't get any of the smileys to work sad.gif

Thanksgiving dinner

It's nice to be able to relax on a holiday without a lot of company...lol..I would not have said that ten years ago.

The smileys are not working for me this morning either. The whole forum seems a bit 'glitchy' for some reason.
