I don't even turn on my computer on that day...

A trick to avoid virus triggers on April Fools Day is to set your computer clock two days ahead tonight and set it back on the second. Darn viruses are usually triggered on "the day." Of course really mean miscreants would probably just code for dates on or after April 1st, just to get those folks who don't use their computers everyday. Whoever the heck those people are?

I'm going to try to stay off line tomorrow even though McAfee assures us that we are protected.

Speaking of dancing, the right edge of my screen keeps jumping in every few minutes. Does this mean that I'm going to need a new monitor soon?

It is very annoying. At first I thought it was a case of allergy eyes. [linked image]

It's angry at you for replying to Clippy...

But you're lucky, mine spits at me when I do that.

Wow, I haven't had that problem but it sounds like the monitor is failing. www.computerhope,com is a good place to ask about such matters. If you can tell them about the make and model, someone might be able to advise you on trying out different refresh rates or screen resolutions. I'm thinking that might buy you some time but I'm not sure.

I'll have to remember that. [linked image]

Thanks for the link. I will check it out Thursday. As you know, I want a new computer but want to wait until Vista is improved. I'm getting the 'low on virtual memory' warning often.
