Who says talk is cheap?

Because apparently when Obama does it, it costs 11 trillion dollars! Kidding aside, we could do better with a talker who could convince the American people we need to take better care of ourselves, so we don't need a trillion dollar socialized healthcare system. How about a tax cut for people who can pass a physical or show an improvement in their health status over a previous year because they followed a healthier diet, they exercised, they lost some weight, etc? We could use a good talker to talk to American businesses to tell them they have their own tools to get the economy moving again and should use them with the only government support and incentive to be a lifting of corporate taxes so businesses could grow and hire and federal lending only through the issuance of bonds that the American taxpayers purchase. We need a talker who can talk to the bankers and tell them to get their capital from depositors, by offering them better interest rates to increase deposits. We need a leader who sees the wisdom in taxing income, not business. And who could talk the oil companies into converting from oil to natural gas, so we could start making more of the natural gas vehicles we already make in this country and abroad on a larger scale. These would be larger cars that people would enjoy driving. We want cars that put out far less pollution than any gasoline fueled car and without the need to sacrifice mileage due to all the air-pollution control devices. We want cars that can actually go a good distance without refueling, could be refueled at homes in most cases and oil companies could use the tax savings to train and hire people to convert the gas stations for those who will have to fuel up someplace else. Id say thats simple stuff for the right talker to talk up. I think we have the right talker; we just need him to start thinking up better ideas to talk about.

He himself says he has the "gift" of talking. happy.gif
However, it is a gift that comes with an enormous price tag.
I like your ideas. Perhaps you can get him into a long distance mind meld. [linked image]
