Never say Goodbye, say Aloha,
Blondie

It made me cry again but that is probably good to allow me to grieve. Bast's brother is taking it badly although he is better today. The sad thing is that he is the same age as she was and now it is a bit like waiting for the other shoe to drop; he is old and sick and we all expected him to go first.

I've been through this before with other cats and I will get over it; as the poem says, she will always be there for me as long as I can remember her.

Most pets pass away too soon, but cats are with us for a very long time. It is srill difficult when they leave us, but they leave us with many years of wonderful memories of them.

I think my Dad took the loss of my first cat pretty hard. She passed at 21 years of age, while I was away and in my last year of Chiropractic College. He didn't tell me about it, for fear I wouldn't graduate. I would have liked to have seen her one more time, but I figured 21 years was a great life.

My kid has a cat that looks just like her, and he picked her out himself with his mom, while I was off doing something else. I was home in time to open the box she was brought home in, and it really took me back in time for a bit. Great memories, I guess that what this life really boils down to most of the time.
