A Train Story

A few days after Christmas, a mother was working in the kitchen listening to her young son playing with his new electric train in the living room. She heard the train stop and her son said, "All of you sons of guns who want off, get the heck off now, cause this is the last stop! And all of you sons of guns who are getting on, get your behinds in the train, cause we're going down the tracks."

The mother was very upset and told her son, "We don't use that kind of language in this house. Now I want you to go to your room and you are to stay there for TWO HOURS. When you come out, you may play with your train, but I want you to use nice language."

Two hours later, the son comes out of the bedroom and resumes playing with his train. Soon the train stopped and the mother heard her son say, "All passengers who are disembarking from the train, please remember to take all of your belongings with you. We thank you for riding with us today and hope your trip was a pleasant one. We hope you will ride with us again soon." She hears the little boy continue, "For those of you just boarding, we ask you to stow all of your hand luggage under your seat. Remember, there is no smoking on the train. We hope you will have a pleasant and relaxing journey with us today."

As the mother began to smile, the child added, "For those of you who are annoyed about the TWO HOUR delay, please see the witch in the kitchen."

LOL - And love the choo choo. And it sucks, too. Yes, PC sucks...

And it sucks, too.

I'd like to get my hands on the idiot who thought up the whole PC bit and kick the "organic refuse" out of him.

I remember a cook on a train trip was I was seven. All he asked the customers at the snack bar is. "What you want?!"

Now I would like to see a more polite world, but this phony PC crap has got to die an ugly death. It's dishonest, manipulative, and lowers the soul evolvement of those who buy into it.

There is a need for a right way to address equality issues, and PCism isn't it. And competition is a human trait of success. Take it away and we wouldn't even have an electric train for that kid to play with. Instead, he'd be stuck with some imaginary train.

I coach a lot of sports and I'm 100% old school. Everyone is a winner is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Everyone deserves a fair chance to succeed, that's what I coach by. And screw participation trophies!

And, speaking of fair play..
What is the politically correct way to say, "Hey, LA can't afford all this hoopla! Let the estate pick up the tab."

I do plenty of community service... some of it is even of my own free will, but I digress... I would be happy to put him in the ground for free!

Trains and PC

The Universe sounds a little cranky today! [linked image]

Most clear thinking people can see the PC trend is rather dehumanizing to us all. We all get into the mindset that we can't state an opinion because it will offend someone. You can't be honest and never offend another person...real life just doesn't work that way.

I don't like the phony 'posing' stance that most political personalities take on these days...it makes me believe that they believe the people who populate our great country are morons.
I also don't like Hollywood celebs telling me how I should vote, act or think...take a look at their lives and then decide if you want to follow their lead. I rest my case happy.gif

I think most people are decent, try to be loving and compassionate..try and do the right thing most of the time. It's human nature to fear other cultures or people that we don't understand but instead of admitting that and trying to get enlightened, we hide behind the new attitude we present to the rest of the world and try to make ourselves believe that's all we need to do. It's a little like the Wizard of Oz and seeing what's really behind the curtain...you have to dig a little deeper to see the truth.

Saying something doesn't make it a truth. We all know that life isn't fair and that there are lots of people that fall through the cracks of society because they are less appealing in some way to the rest of us. Some cultures are blamed for more than their share of the strife in this world...some people, or groups of people, aren't nice. It's just a fact and you can't sugar coat it no matter how hard you try.

No "participation trophies"...lol....that's going to far!

Hey Blondie, I saw two wild bunnies running down the train tracks last night. I think they were heading for Chicago. [linked image]
