When I had my adopted Chow mix the only place I knew of to go to in my area was a Banfield at the Petsmart near our apartment. They did really well with her and when she passed on from kidney failure they were all very nice and sent cards to us. When we got Janus we decided to go with Banfield again but at a different location and they have been great.
If you call in they will try to help over the phone if its not something that requires a visit. If it sounds like it needs to be looked at they try to get you in as fast as they can or if it sounds really serious they referred people out to Dove Lewis Animal Hospital. Took them awhile but after 2 years they opened up a much larger Banfield. I'm talking HUGE and they made it an after hours clinic. You call in the number, tell them where your pet normally goes and if they are on a plan and then bring them in. Its better than going to Dove Lewis because Banfield health plans don't work at the ANimal Hospital. I learned that one the hard way when my Chow started going down hill
