What to expect from your therapist and how to find a good one
by eros
I get really upset when I hear the behavior of some T's. I believe MOST T's are responsible and know what their doing. However, they're enough T's out there that aren't ethical and/or don't know what the hell they're doing.r>
A good site to visit is "counseling.com." It lists the various forms of therapy, standards and ethics. It will even tell you what all those letters mean behind your therapist's name. It has some good reading articles on how to cope, etc. It's a good site to visit and become aquanted with, especially if you feel suspicious about your T. (Caroline, I'm so sorry you met with a bone-head. She sounds as if she's got several brainwaves short of the beach).
Here's how to reach the site Click -> http://counseling.com
There is a stellar article about how to choose a therapist at the following site -> http://www.metanoia.org/choose/
The article is a good read.
