The first album was alright i reckon, gave it a few spins before it was relegated to the big stack of cd's gathering dust in my room.

i liked his fake white stripes voice better.

Not consistent enough are they, you could make 1 good album out of the two. Plus I reckon Jack's voice is fucked. Still better than most of the tosh out there at the minute. I think it'll be a while before we see another golden era to rival the Strokes/Libs/White Stripes/KOL period. But hey there's a thread about that every 2 days on here so I'll just shut up now

another recent favourite bit of music of my dads is the theme tune to the sopranos. hes a bit like alan partridge on first hearing the theme tune to black beauty 'what is this, its bloody wonderful!'pure, honest enjoyment of the music. like it should be

Last time my Dad had that with modern music it was Breakfast At Tiffany's by Deep Blue Something. Had to go with him to HMV while he asked the sales assistant for it. Did the same with my Mum when she wanted to have The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me (Is You) by Bryan Adams. Still though, bless 'em
