Frank is genuinely mental - still I thought they were excellent tonight. Joel is such a dude and Anton was remarkably nice. Very strange. When hit it off they really blew the lid off the Forum eh?
Mars Volta tomorrow night - GET THE FUCK IN!

Yeah it was a really interesting gig.
Unlike most that i've experianced music wise.
My only downsides were Antons vocals being too quiet most of the time(i thought sound guys were paid to listen out for this sort of shit, but apparently not), and the amount of time between songs being loooonnnggg.
But you don't go to BJM for a professional gig, really, do you.
Servo sent a smile my way.
Glad it seems everyone enjoyed it.

Brian Jonestown Massacre gig ends in chaos
Police called to venue after altercation between the group
Brian Jonestown Massacre's London show descended into chaos last night (July 16) when an argument erupted between band members after the gig.
After playing a mammoth two-hour set, which saw lead singer Anton Newcombe cuss the NME and plea with UK fans to put a stop to the recent spate of knife crime, police were called after a member of the band got hurt in the backstage scuffle.
The altercation erupted after guitarist Frankie Emerson, who appeared rather inebriated on stage, swung a microphone and broke it during the show.
An obviously annoyed Newcombe told him on stage he would have to pay for its replacement.
Later when the band left the stage before their encore Emerson stayed on rambling into the microphone, saying: "Testing, one two, one two."
Percussionist Joel Gion tried to diffuse the situation by bidding goodnight to the crowd but Emerson continued unperturbed, exclaiming: "Don't shut front of house man, you fucker."
The rest of the then group returned to play their final song before leaving the stage to applause.
It was then after the gig that a band ruckus erupted backstage and police were called to diffuse the situation.
However no arrests were made and the band are set to continue with their UK tour today (July 17) with a set at Dour Festival.
A spokesman from the band's label played down the incident, explaining: "These things do happen on tour when the band are tired and been away from home too long."
WHy was Frank pissed off, i didn't see him throw the mic but saw the angst seconds later

I dont tihnk alcohol is Franks problem. Its more chemical than that. He threw mike after finishing singin his shitty song. As Anton said , "Frank is being a poop".Anton m ade them unplug it then poopy Frank came out and tried talking more shit into it and it took him a couple of minutes to realise there was no flex in the mike. The spanner. Hes the worst guitarist in the band.
Its true, Frank is a poop. Anton went for him when they played Kings College a couple of years ago on stage and basically beat his ass in front of everyone and then chucked him into the crowd. That was impressive.
Good old Anton.
Jonestown are a genuine human zoo that make rgeat music but you wouldnt want to hang out with them. Believe me. Except maybe Joel who is a sweetie.
