Such a major international event should have much higher political standards. I'm yet to hear an athlete or anyone else criticise the black power salute at the mexico olympics yet that turned the olympics into a political stage. Also when that guy tried to steal the torch off konnie huq is a priceless image. The only reason political leaders are not taking a harder line is because china is becoming so economically powerful.
