Thats what Im worried about at Leeds since he's 3rd from top and playing a setlist where no one has heard any of the songs before, he's only ever really played his latest lp anyway so people should be use to it but at a festival I can imagine 4000 people wanting "first day of my life" and leaving after 3/4 songs.

he is bound to chuck some Bright Eyes into his set, but I agree that some people will think it is crap because he only plays 2 bright eyes songs or whatever.

On the live mp3s I have he played Lua and True Blue but I think he'd need to play at least half his set with Bright Eyes singles for the paying punter to be happy. He's always just played his latest LP whenever Ive seen him though (with 1 or 2 old obscure songs) he seems to be a person who thinks that a certain song belongs in a certain mood or time, which I appreciate.... he can afford to be being so prolific, doubt the Reading/Leeds punters will see that though

He's only using the Conor Oberst name because Mike Mogis isn't on this album. He felt bad using that moniker when only one half of Bright Eyes was actually present. I see no reason why he won't play Bright Eyes songs live, it's just a logistical thing for the album. He still wrote those tunes even if their conception had a little helping hand.

That was the set list from the opening night of his US solo tour just last week. If the set list is anything like that at Reading I shall be a very very happy man.
