Lolling at the sour grapes!

What's football about if it's not great days like this? I know anything less than 4th place would be a disaster for you but the sheer joy for fans of most ordinary clubs comes from days like this, I don't give a fuck what happens next season.

Whereas you will never be happy unless you win the league.

Gooners gracious in defeat as ever then? Just admit you got embarrassed on your own ground by a decent team putting in a good performance, and let them have their moment in the sun.

Babbling on about how you're going to finish higher in the league is pointless, because we all know that, no one's ever seriously suggested otherwise. And it is utterly irrelevant, as it doesn't change the fact that you just got made to look ridiculous, which gives the Hull fans bragging rights, just for a little while. Now man the fuck up and stop being so bitter.

Today we were too complacent, Gallas is obviously still a weak link and we had no clinical finishing. Hull have been a surprise in the league this season and credit where it's due, they made the most of what they had. I hoped we might have learned from mistakes over the last few seasons against the 'little teams'.

That's funny coming from a spurs fan. If Arsenal's first team are wank, what does that make your team of bufoons? Talking of League 1, you better start brushing up, you'll be getting turned over each week there within a couple seasons.

"Does it not sometimes seem strange to put so much time and efort into "supporting" a football team, when in reality the only involvement you have is possibly buying tickets and merchandising.

yeah its completely absurd and profoundly childish, really. All you really "support" in the end is each other and the badge/name of the club. This is the reason that despite the fact that players/managers etc can come from across the world ordinary fans should support their local club (IMO). The whole point of it is that it is a COMMUNAL thing - the local community getting together. This is one of the reasons football and attending football matches is half the event it used to be - such is the hype (the insane "importance" thats placed on the game, the absurd damatic music on sky sports news, the saturation of the game into everyday life) that the whole event takes on an meaning way beyond its actual importance and people take it way too seriously. In an item on Sky Sports news a Liverpool fan said about how the Merseyside derby is no longer a friendly event - its a lot nastier these days. I can vouch for this - I went to my first Merseyside derby in 1991 (it was the 0-1 FA Cup defeat to Everton after the 4-4 draw at Goodison park - one of Dalglish's last games in charge), and it was a fantastic occasion - my old man was worried taking me to the game because of his fear there would be trouble, but there was none. i saw my next merseyside derby in 1998, and the atmosphere had got worse, but was still pretty enjoyable. Then a mate had a spare ticket for the game at Goodison two years ago and it was jsut horrible. The saturation of the game into the psyche of the population elevates it way beyond its real importance.

Still, never mind.

^^^ ive strayed from the point there ^^^

my initial point was meant to be about the communal nature of football. When you get people supporting teams 100 miles away, they are more likely to be in a minority both at the ground of the team they support and in their local environment. The whole point of communality is lost. you're a stranger, a shadow of the locals who will all know each other and will share in some sort of civic pride when their team does well.

Also ive got a mate who'se a season ticket holder who says the same thing, so yes my own judgements were on slim personal experience, but also based on what ive been told by a season ticket holder and the gadge on Sky Sports this afternoon.

thats what i am talking about israel. highbury was much better to go to cos it was on top of you and the clock end was ok but ashburton is awful to go to. very boring. does not have that edgy feel that sitting in the clock end did.
i remember the carling cup semi final 2 years ago there and it was 2-2 at the lane and we went to ashburton grave and was 1-1 at full time and the arsenal fans were cheering after 90 minutes thinking they had won on away goals. some left the ground and some were pointing us at laughing thinking why are will still singing when we have just be beaten. some look totally bemused when the players lined up for extra time. was a priceless moment and showed how many clueless twats and tourists were in that ground. they spank us in extra time but at least 5000 fans left at 90 minutes thinking they had won on away goals.

LOL and last season they didn't even sell out for the CC semi and barely heard a peep out of their fans who were there all game but you never do

Don't even have to say what happend in the 2nd leg

Highbury was ok for some games still always outsung them but yeah that corner was good especially if you were near the divide in the Clock End

Thing is you're guaranteed a proper atmosphere at the Lane for nearly every game let alone how intimidating it can be for the big ones and I wouldn't swap that for any wank new ground

And Chairman you only have to look at the players we have to know we're going to get better and better you can keep all your youth players I guarantee most of that team who got lucky and beat some shite team from Yorkshire won't be there in 5 years anyway

bump for isrealvivra and the rest of the thick bunch...

good result again today fella's

i can;t defend the atmosphere at arsenal, but feel the need to explain its a symptom of success...something spurs have not experienced for a while...

mancs, scousers and even league buyers chelsea fans will mainly say the same thing, the atmosphere at most games against "lower" teams is usually shit, but thats cos our success have meant a lot more tourists, plastics, and all sorts other than your usual, attend the games...

if we were as shit as tottenham, i'm sure our atmosphere would be better...there-in lies the problem

knew it would not take long for an arsenalol fan to use spurs as a way to hide under there know incapabiltys. i understand why you lot doing if i was an arsenal fan i use spurs to shadow over are own weakness's. But the facts are still there despite where spurs are in the league that you aint as good as you think you are. you will not come close to man u or chelsea this year and i believe your francise club will end up trophyless again. its rather easy to point out how shit spurs are when we are bottom of league.

Spurs fans are thick cunts. Every year we contend the League, Champions League and domestic cups. Had we had more depth to our extensive talent, we could have won multiple trophies. We are the only self-sufficient club in the league without mountains of dept and we have one of the greatest managers and set ups the world has ever seen.

Whereas spurs win fuck all year in, year out for decades (minus one toy town cup) and sit at the bottom of the table BELOW FUCKING NEWCASTLE. Get a grip mate.

parklane, if you know as much about spurs as you say you do, you know as well as i do that your lot are the boys from north london who have the insuperiority complex...

yids main enjoyment from last couple of decades or so comes from when we fail to win trophies, i.e. nayim from the halfway line, champ league final 06, when spurs fans went out and bought barca shirts, etc...such is the lack of anything of note at your own shithole...

you are now, after another multi million pound summer, and hoping / stating that this could be your year, when you break into the top four...are now bottom of the league...

if it weren't for newcastle, you'd be even more of a laughing stock than you already are...

forever in our shadow...LOL
