moving to london to work in the white city shopping centre and wondered where i should look to stay flatwise when im down. never stayed longer than a weekend before so i need your help ppl.

You'll get somewhere for less than 500, you'll be sharing though and may not be too close to tubes but the buses are excellent once you get used to them, plus your working on the Central line you have good links to get to work.

shit as in it's frequently suspended or part suspended, and the replacements bus services are shit, and even when it's not suspended or there are no engineering works, there will often be major delays for one reason or another.
i like the fact that there are now announcements to inform you that there's 'a good service on all undersgound lines today' as if it's something out of the ordinary. surely that should be the case everyday. it's a bit like going into a restaurant and the waiter saying "just to let you know, there are no cockroaches in the kitchen today".

i was looking online and acton looks promising as theres loads of tube stations and the prices werent sky high. i'm hoping it'll do til i get to know london better and find the areas i like best. thanks for the advice ppl!

"if youre working in white city i suggest you look at shepherrds bush, acton, ealing and hammersmith."
Like Shaun said. And if you get a place in one of those locations, you'll most likely be able to walk, cycle or take the bus to work as opposed to taking the tube. Have a look in a London A to Z and check out other surrounding areas.
